When visiting Huntsville you must go to the square and visit Harrison Brothers Hardware this old hardware store takes you back to a better simpler time with old toys and Knick nacks it's just like going back in time I always make sure to go here when in Huntsville.

Loved the visit here. Wish I could have bought some of the antiques here though. The ladies and the young gentleman that were volunteering there were very knowledgeable and really friendly.

A fun place to browse and walk back into time. Ole'time candy and toys brought back great memories. Couldn't resist purchasing the Barrel of Monkeys for our Grandson.

Harrison Brother's Hardware is an interesting location with a bit of a split personality. On the one hand it's somewhat of a neat step back in time to when a local hardware store meant something other than Home Depot or Lowes. One the other hand it's a better than average unique gift shop with an emphasis on all things Huntsville and Southern. This makes perfect sense when you realize it is operated by the Huntsville Historical Society. It's definitely worth a few minutes of your time if you find yourself in the area. The old fixtures and hardware will keep the non-shoppers occupied long enough for the shoppers in the family to look around and find some knickknacks and whatnots to take home. The volunteers that staff the shop are fun and very knowledgeable so definitely strike up a conversation.
