Maple Hill is a beautiful place to visit. It is like strolling through the times. It is surrounded by beautiful tree's and each October they have a stroll there that you should try to take advantage off. They have character's that take through time as you walk through the cemetery. It is an amazing trip to be looking for kith and kin

Legends tales and stories can be found across the internet of this place. Check a few of them out: http://blog.al.com/strange-alabama/2012/03/dead_childrens_playground.html

If you enjoy a stroll through a cemetery, or not; this is a really outstanding place to visit! I like to go to read the headstones to learn about the people who lived (and died) in Huntsville.
If you attend one of the special events held there, you also get to "meet" the many historical characters in the flesh while they tell their stories. Not to be missed!

We go there often as some relatives are "residents ".
Once or twice a year they have a guided walk which is very popular. Lots of history here, graves from before the war of "Northern Aggression" 1860-1865. Or Civil War depending on who has your families silver. Also graves of many famous persons and a few dogs( not allowed) but they are in there or so we have been told.
Very well maintained property. I will move there myself some day, hopefully not for a while yet!
