“Great Food And Service”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time the other day, as we are new to the area and are trying different bbq restaurants.
Both the food and service was great. The only disappointment is that they close at 3pm on Sundays. Luckily, we got there early enough to order take-out. We really enjoyed our meal and unlike the other bbq restaurants in the area that we've tried so far, this place has both small and large sized sandwiches. They also have many different sides that the others don't have. The portion sizes were great and we very much enjoyed the food. We recommend this place and will definitely be going back in the future.

“Just Average”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

I ate lunch at Smokey's BBQ. I tried to order ribs, but they are only an even menu item. I had the chicken plate (1/2 chicken) with BBQ beans, Slaw and corn bread. The chicken was good. The BBQ beans and Slaw were OK. The corn bread was excellent. The service was OK.

“Good Food & Plenty Of It Reasonably Priced”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

On our first trip here, I ordered a burger combo, she got the pulled pork. The burger comes fully dressed, be sure to tell them what to delete. As a side, I got the chili. The burger was very good and good sized, I sported it up with the very good mustard based BBQ sauce. The chili was also very good, laced with jalapeno peppers and a generous helping for a side. She got the fried okra which came as a huge portion. Also along with her BBQ was a big slice of very good corn bread. All this including drinks was $13.05 with the over 55 discount, what a deal! We left full and with some leftovers. This is a decent, casual place with plenty of parking and order at the counter-draw your own drinks style. Booth & table seating.

“Very tastey 'Q and a good value too!”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 via mobile

Ate there on a Sunday afternoon. Was a bit noisy from the few customers that were there. The rib sandwich was very good. Fell off the bone. Did not care for the onion roll though. Potato salad is mustard based. Slaw is Mayo and vinegar. Strange combination. Pulled pork looked good but was told it was not the greatest. They offer senior discount for 55 and older!! This made our meals a great value. Young man behind the register was very personable and knows his menu quite well. Baked beans were baked beans and the fried okra was good. Overall was ok.

“Still good, but not as busy”
Reviewed 15 July 2013

Great BBQ. Even with Thomas' BBQ just down the street, Smokey's continues to do BBQ proud! With all the buildup at that end of 72, there must be a lot more competition for lunch dollars - - it was pretty quiet around 11:15 in the morning. But the food was still great.
