Famous Joe's is a local owned pizza place in the Publix shopping center on County Line Road in Madison. Publix has many varieties of frozen pizzas all for $5 and under. The pizza at Joe's is of equal or less quality than the frozen varieties across the parking lot but much more expensive. I ordered the margherita pizza and a fat tire beer (see picture). The pizza crust was crunchy but about as tasty as confession bread. The sauce, though the waiter said it was homemade, was diluted and spice free; no oregano, no basil, and no soul. My final bill was $28 for a 12" pizza-ish and a draft beer. I'm giving Joe's a two star rating instead of one star because of the waiter. He, like everybody else working in there, was very young and eager to make money. Lastly, if the owner happens to read this, my advise to you is to quit cutting cost on ingredients. If you're going to have a restaurant, make your food special and not like this garbage.

We have eaten her on multiple occassions with and without children and is OK but not my favorite in the area. I feel the first time we were there it was more impressive than follow-up visits. The pizza is not what I expected after being in New York City and having brick oven pizzas that blew me away. Many times the children are enterined with pizza dough being tossed up and over pipe structures in the ceiling but that was the most impressive thing lately.

I wish your experience is better than mine since i felt it was over rated and over priced. Fresh ingredients and very traditional as others have said but not my style.

Went once and will return for good service and very tasty Italian food. Different than your typical pizza and much better than cooking pizza at home. Excellent service; of course, we went late afternoon before the evening crush of patrons.

Get food here often due to being close, i will say the pizza is the best in town, hand tossed by Joe himself most of the time. The pasta dishes are good and portioned right. Only complaint i have is they serve no bread or bread basket with meal which is kind of odd for an Italian place. Kitchen can be inconsistent and you usually can tell when Joe makes the pizza and when he doesn't. Would recommend if you are in the area cause there really is no other place to eat worth mentioning
