EXCELLENT PROIPERTY WITH AWESOME EMPLOYEES

We Had taken a group for a trip to goa. the entire journey was excellent and specially the stay at Nirvana Hermitage, The property is tucked away on a lush , secluded hillock in the heart of Anjuna Goa, overlooking the world famous Flea market. even the mosty happening night hot spots like curlies, liliput, shiva valley, hill top are easily accessable from this property by a rented bike or a car. the resort though located in a isolated place is safe to move about even in the midnight.

we stayed in pool view villa for 3 nights clean & excellent rooms ,clean linen , excellent view more than the property people make this property look much better. The management has chosen each and every employee an opt person with good hospitality built in them. They are very adjustable and cooperative to all the guests. They support you on all possible ways.

The resort served a good elaborate buffet breakfast in the morning with special masala tea which we really enjoyed.

The front office staff arranged self driven car for us at an economical price, we even enjoyed thier swimming pool which is well maintained.

all in all our stay was more comfortable love to come back again in a group in the month of june.

This was my first visit to north goa, usually i would stay at south Goa and Nirvana Hermitage made it an enjoyable and memorable one. From the transportation to the room attendants every one was wonderful and made me feel very welcome and at home. If there was ever a problem they were right there to assist and get me back on the right track. The service and food at the restaurant was excellent, as was the laundary service.

wi fi is accessable only near the pool side area, thank you all the staff at Nirvana Hermitage HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS.

Great setting and hospitality. The buffet breakfast at thier indoor restaurant and Dinner at thier open air restaurant are excellent with local and western cuisine, service is great, stewards are always friendly and obliging. Be Sure to try the Goan Fish Curry.

The beach is just 10 minutes walk away from the hotel we found it best to walk early in the morning or late afternoon given the heat during the day. Lovely and clean pool to chill out during the heat.

The rooms in particular (pool view cottage r.no 101 was nice spacious with balcony and the bathrooms were well equipped. The Room service / Housekeepionmg staff are very efficient. we really enjoyed thier pool side bar with some good cocktails & mocktails prepared by thier bartender sunil, the menu rates also are not that high.

we had booked for 3 nights ended up staying for 5 nights would love to come back again with family and friends.

Room Tip: Over all it was Excellent

At the first look hotel looked good when we entered.
But the following problems cropped in as we stayed there for three days.
1. 3 star hotel but old Dabba Televisions
2. Struggled to operate ACs
3. No Fridge in the room, when requested, we got one which was warmer than outside weather
4. Expensive Food, Quality and taste not upto mark.( I think salt is costly in goa so hotel people avoid it in every dish)
5. Swimming pool meant to be used only with clothes which exposes the body, even if the ladies are uncomfortable
6. Nylon means only Nylon used for swimming costumes, no other clothe is nylon
7. Costume bought from Water kingdom, didnot work here.
8. We were insulted in front of foreigners for swimming in Nylon garment, FYI foreigners were wearing worse.
9. No security in hotel, there was not attendant at the door when we went out of hotel at 1 am in the night.
10. Hotel location is so bad, that you will not even find a cigarette shop nearby. No choice for food, as no proper restaurant nearby
11. Hotel management was a bit rude, for the swimming pool incidence (of course everyone wants to sell their own swimming garments for revenue)
12. Hotel staff was helpful in getting a self driven car. I appreciate them for the same.
13.But overall nice location, If you do not mind all the above issues and just want to relax in Hotel...Its good.

At 3566 Rs per night better experience is expected:
1. Breakfast - juice with 80% water, tasteless poha, tea-bag tea, no milkshake, no bacon/sausages, no muffins/croissants, eggs good one day bad next day.
2. Pool was 80% clean, water was foggy, with dead insects/leafs in it.
3. Rooms were excellent great pool view, humongous rooms, sub par bathroom with damaged, and unclean tub.
4. Location on a hilltop quite far from the beach/main roads of Anjuna, lonely & unlit at night

Room Tip: Even non pool view rooms have a pool view

-The rooms were unsafe, the voltage kept fluctuating, and the fridge blew off twice and had to be replaced. None of the fridges of the other rooms were working. TV's in one of the rooms smoked up. With Kids running around, these rooms were not at all safe.
-The Air-condition would not work, remotes frozen, plus they had power issues. We reported this multiple times, but they took their own time to rectify. This was really disappointing,
-The place is very far from all the places on a steep hill, except for anjuna beach, which is as well, about 2-3 Kms. You cannot walk or come in late as the place gets really dark and unsafe! Getting a cab was difficult as most drivers refuse to come to that place
-Breakfast was below standard with the price we paid.
-The manager was horrible, he does not know how to talk to customers! he was very rude!
-the pool was not maintained properly, they had insects in them , leaves and you could see then already standing at the edge. Plus, they insisted on 2 piece swim wear in pool for women( where as per rules, nylon single or two piece is acceptable in water, which the receptionist was not agreeing to). I have stayed in various hotels around the globe, and never had this kind of argument. There were two foreigners sitting wearing same nylon , and that was acceptable for her. Plus, she kept arguing in front of them which was rally embarrassing, she could have taken this offline and not in front of the public! If this is how you get to be treated, I would nt recommend this place to any-one!
We had a really bad experience, no where close to what they showcase on the websites or a three star level. If you are going with family- this place is a NO-NO !

We booked 2 rooms at the Nirvana Hermitage for the easter weekend from Wednesday to Sunday for a well deserved break from work.

We had a nice vacation however the hotel was in a terrible shape.
While the staff were quite nice and helpful, the manager seemed like a total idiot.

His attitude was really appalling.

What was a good hotel about 4 years ago is now not even worth looking at.

Room Tip: Stay away, there are better hotels around.
