Just arrived back from Joecons beach resort, had 6 amazing but hectic days traveling north India, then 9 lovely relaxing days at Joecons beach resort.
Hotel very good, nice clean well equiped rooms with A/C. All the staff from reception to dinning/bar very nice, friendly and helpful,mr khan and mr Pravin efficiently running the latter, nothing was too much trouble from all the staff, special mention here to nem o (waiter).
Food excellent, good choices on the al a carte evening menu,Indian,Chinese, fish dishes a must.with special nights eg BBQ and sizzles also available.food and drinks reasonably priced.nightly entertainment,singers/dancers etc.
Beach approx 15 mins stroll, courtesy bus available or tuk tuk. For the more adventurous 100ruppes £1.be prepared to be approached by the local shop owners all wanting to make that sale! Lovely people who you can try out your haggling skills.
The towns are a taxi ride away, however a 40 min walk along the beach takes you to Colver where there are more shops and restaurants
Once on the beach Joecons have a lovely beach shack and serve great food, chilli prawn sweet and sour is the best I have ever had!am amazed how they cook such lovely food in a beach shack, here again you will find all the staff lovely and friendly.hope this review is helpful and you find it as good as we did....

Room Tip: Pool view.not ground floor as trees and shrubs may attract mosquito ..

Just returned from Joecons Beach Resort after a very enjoyable two weeks. Hotel is set in lovely well kept exotic gardens, bedrooms are spacious and kept very clean, hotel restaurant large and caters for all tastes, from Indian, Chinese to Italian excellent food is served.
Restaurant expertly run by Mr Khan and his attentive staff, one little gripe and it is only a very small gripe and that is they do not follow up with the dessert menu when the main course dishes have been cleared away.
Front desk -no faults here, any problems are sorted out immediately Saru and staff are first class.
Although wi fi is available through out the hotel, in this day and age it should be free of charge(most of the Beach Shacks to not charge) also the speed of the net work is pedestrian to say the least ,should be better.
Beach is beautiful with white sand and warm Arabian Sea. Hotel provides a courtesy vehicle to the beach however it is only a short walk there.
Hotel provides entertainment at the restaurant every evening
Not to far away there are shops and alternative places to eat.
Overall 'Excellent Hotel' needless to say that we have booked again for 2015.

A very nice hotel with really nice and helpful staff, spacy rooms, good yoga classes and excellent spa/massage centre. Location a bit off the beaten track, you can walk to the beach , about 15 minutes through the Little village with lot of shops . Joecons has a nice shak on the beach. Very good food in the hotel restaurant. The resort is so good that you dont have to leave the area if not necessary! They even surprised us with a birthday cake on my husbands birthday!Johanna Ingemar and Lina Sweden 2014-01-25

Room Tip: we stayed in a de luxe room, enough space for 3!

The hotel lives up to its good reviews: it's nicely maintained, has a beautiful layout and friendly personnel (Maria, Prithviraj, drivers, restaurant's staff). Our room was of good size, clean, with AC, ventilator, tea/coffee making facilities and had a small veranda with a table and chairs. We did ask 3 times before we finally got an extra bed into the room which was pre-booked... So leave your quick service prejudices at home once you are in Goa :) There is a small shop at the hotel where you can buy bottled water, soft drinks, teas and even some textile. You can also change money at reception ($, £, €) at decent rates but beware you cant exchange your rupees back into hard currencies there.
Food: we loved it first evening but generally over the stay we found it can be hit and miss; breakfast needs some serious improvement (especially porridge and pastry) which seems to be a consistent theme in the reviews... The restaurant staff is very sweet and helpful though (albeit slow), which somewhat offsets the clumsy breakfast, just have patience and you will eventually get your teas/coffees, life is slow in Goa! If you are a cappuccino/latte/macchiato etc addict, forget about in Goa, haven't seen any decent coffees around including the nearby 5* hotel... Well, its a tea-loving culture at the end. Check out Cavatina restaurant which is about 5min walk away (turn right out of the main gate and walk straight along the road, it will be on the left hand side). The place is small, western-looking, the food is excellent (international, Goan and south asian cuisines), the presentation is beautiful, - the chef, having worked and traveled internationally, has an interesting food philosophy...
Swimming pool and towels: clean and well maintained, we could always find the sun beds either at the main pool or at the one at the back of the main building. The towel registry should be abandoned though, it doesnt really work anyway and it is quite annoying. perhaps, the towels station can be used for what it was meant originally, a pool (non alcoholic) bar?
Spa: a recent addition with new equipment, have your massages booked early since everyone eyes post-beach pre-dinner slots. Dont bother for manicure. Free yoga classes daily at 8am on the lawn at the pool. Unless you are going for a foot massage, treat yourself to a hotel(s) spa, the street "parlors" may offer cheaper services, but oil feels like it was re-used (?) and you don't always get what you pay for, a far cry from thai or hong kong small massage parlors; prices there vary depending on the masseurs' mood :)
Internet: no free wifi anywhere in the hotel (perhaps only occasionally in the restaurant judging by the signs), but you can pay by an hour (200 Rs) or per day (400 Rs), make sure you have your login details handy, the connection keeps breaking.
Hotel Gift shop: we have explored quite a few in the area including a trip to Colva shopping street, but made almost all our purchases at the hotel: the choice (and prices) were appealing. We weren't good at bargaining though, hope you will be better :) There is a tea shop in Colva on the main street leading to the beach, excellent choice and decent prices. Dont wait to get your goodies at the airport duty free, it has only 2 tiny shops with ridiculously high prices.
Excursions: you can order many from the hotel at a good price, look out for Bobby on the ground/reception, he will walk you through the choices and will help to arrange. He speaks good russian and very friendly. If you are into elephants, there are way more choices than traditional ride and shower, inquire!
Taxis: plenty during day time, but beware there are hardly any after 23 and they may charge you double fare for the same trip if late.
Airport transfer: you can get a cab from the airport by pre-paying at the taxi counter, we used hotel's taxis, not expensive. It takes about 30-45min to get to/from the airport depending on the traffic.
Beach:10 min's walk and be ready to be hustled by the street sellers, don't be fooled by their "come and have a look" offers, even if you do so, you will have no peace until you buy something. Lots of Goa lives off tourism so you cant blame them for persistence. The hotel's bus takes you to the beach every morning every half an hour till 12.30 and back from 2pm. If you want to chill on a sun bed, make sure you are on the beach by least 8.30am, all beds are gone after... Perhaps, the management should consider getting a few extra sunbeds, there will definitely be fewer disappointed guests... The sand is quite good though, but it is really hot once it gets closer to midday and you will be craving for shade, there are 3 beach cafes on the spot and many more if you head towards Colva along the beach.
Overall, i think it's one of the best hotels in its category in South Goa unless, of course, you can take a budget hit for 5* retreats which are surprisingly very pricey over there.

This is the best place to stay if you are looking for relax and peace. The hotel is very clean, two swimming pools, nice green area with flowers and palm trees, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent facilities: every hour there is a free bus to go to the beach (although it's just 10 minutes walking distance), free Yoga class every morning, very nice restaurant with live music and dance floor and spa. They have their own taxi service that can take you to excursions if you wish. We were there for 1 week and we had a great time. Benaulim beach is perfect if you want to relax and disconnect from the world, quiet in the middle of the nature. Just not good if you are looking for parties.

It's been one of the best stay in Goa compared to all my previous visits to Goa in various other hotels, be it hospitality, food or exclusive dinner at the beach itself.
Thank you very much team Joecons Beach Resort!!!

Pros:
The hotel is very green - plants everywhere, manicured lawn, lots of flowers, trees.
Lovely restaurant.
Extremely friendly staff, I express my special thanks to Mr. Khan and to the waiter Bravo.
Very nice jewelry store on site.

Cons:
The road around the hotel is very busy, rooms with the road view are not quite comfortable (but the room can be easy changed).
The hotel has no double rooms, it is not convenient to come with children.
Need to go to the sea for 10-12 minutes on the road around the nearby 5* hotel, there are no a pass-through.
You should pay for the water in the room (30 rupees per 1.5 liters) - as I know, in the different hotels it can be brought free of charge.
The rooms are cleaned very well, but sometimes a chambermaid brought very old frayed towels.
