The resort was really superb. We booked through online for Neelam grands actually. but coz of some reasons we were given the glitz. even though first felt angry , after seeing the resort it melted. it was awesome. also the foods were the tastiest!! also the staffs are so pleasing and friendly. we really enjoyed the place!!

Room Tip: If you are booking through online, make sure u take a print out of the recipt and also their service...

Room Tip: This Hotel has only 43 rooms spread over 3 floors there is a lift and stairs if you feel energetic...

We arrived back to the very wet UK on the 15 feb after another wonderful 2 week holiday in Goa and the Glitz hotel. The rooms are still lovely and clean and the staff just as wonderful and friendly. The breakfasts are a very good with a great selection of English and Indian. The pool is on the second floor I know it sounds odd to have pool that high up, but it really works as you are not in view of all other people that call into the hotel. The waiters don't mind coming up to the pool with drinks for you either. Its just a shame some foreign tourists don't appreciate them. (Russians).
Maybe the reason the other reviewer had a little trouble signing in, is that cosmos flights have been getting in early and when you arrive at the hotel early the night staff is still on duty and they are not to sure about registering people in, but once the day staff arrive they normally sort it out. We had the same problem this time. But we will definitely be back next year. Most just say hello to shaam.

Stayed for 2 weeks in Dec 13, Booked with Cosmos. Firstly, the reception staff looked confused when we arrived, and it took them quite sometime to accept we had booked and hadn't just turned up!! After repeating about 6 times that my son & I had booked and paid for 2 separate rooms - they finally took us up to our (1) room. Finally after a further half-hour we were given 2 rooms.

The rooms were large and had everything you need apart from chairs (or table) for the balcony - you had to drag the heavy room chairs on to the balcony.

The main problem is this this hotel has no literature at all. I was there for nearly a week before I found out where the bar was! The mealtimes are not written down anywhere - you have to ask, then someone will write on a piece of paper for you. Breakfast was good an offered a wide choice. Sometimes there was a buffet for dinner & sometimes we had to order from a menu (everything on menu too hot (spicy). Hardly anyone ate in restaurant. We were lucky enough to have rooms on the second floor at the front of the hotel so we passed the smallish pool to get to our rooms. I'm not sure how other people found the pool if they were on different floor or at the back of the hotel. The hotel also had no maps of Calangute at all. I believe the hotel did therapies & treatments as well - but I have no idea where they were done? The hotel has no outside space at all to sit.

Some of the other guests in the hotel were very noisy and thought it was ok to keep their door open whilst all talking at once with the TV blasting out with numerous children runnimg up & down the corridor shrieking. The beach was a 15min walk from Hotel.

Finally this hotel was booked as it advertised free Wifi in the lobby and also Wifi in the rooms.
My travel agent confirmed this via email with the hotel and confirmed the rate they charged for the room Wifi; only to find out that NO they do not have Wifi in the rooms!

My Cosmos rep didn't bother to turn up for the meeting either - but I can't blame the hotel for that.

Room Tip: Front of hotel is best (back overlooks bulding work)

We planned for a family reunion for only 3 days in this hotel. It was shocking when we found ourselves among 100 school boys staying there running around in the corridors and making a lot of noise. Even after complaining to the hotel manager, it was impossible to stay there. The breakfast and dinner were below average and just few staff could understand English.

I visited this hotel last summer. Well located about 200 meters from Calangute beach. Room ambience is average. I had problem getting hot water in the bath, it was fixed after complaining at the Lobby. I was told by a fellow traveller that the Neelam Hotel is a better bet. Breakfast too was disappointing. Avoid this place, unless you have no options.

Room Tip: Consider this hotel only if you are running out of options at Calangute
