“Nice and cosy”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

We rented a woodden cottage in front of the sea and that was a good choise. It was great but there was no hot water, no possibility to prepar a coffee in the cottage although it should be available. the restaurant is good but quite expensive and you canfind cheaper places. i would go there again. Be careful if you want to pay by card as they want to charge extra 2%!!! We explained it and I said that they don`t put this information and they didn`t charge us.

It was early in the season, so plastic was still draped around the roof and some of the porch. And because of that it was a little warm in the nights.
The toilet are almost open air when the plastic is removed, due to just palm leaf roof over this part. And it was dried up, and almost none existing.
Our was mostly fine, but I did notice that many bungalows had big gaps in the walls. So maybe some of them are not the place to be too private in...
We had a beach facing bungalow. And it’s a must have for this place.
Nice to have the food delivered and eat a romantic dinner in the sunset outside your bungalow.
And the food is very good. Ended up eating here almost every day. Catch of the day is a must try.
The employees were very service minded also.
Many of the surrounding hotels were not open for the season, so don’t know how crowded the beach will be in season. But now it was really nice and clean. And was not bothered by any sellers at all.
Some like it, some don’t, but there was many cows walking the beach. But just parts of the day.

Room Tip: Sea facing bungalow. Preferably one in the end of the row.

We arrived at Agonda beach without prior reservation and the first place we saw was the Tina Beach Resort. We were greeted by the friendly staff and they showed us a few huts still available. Since we were new to the hut experience, we took the hut without sea view, and it was not a smart decision. When we realized that, all sea view huts were booked. If you have the opportunity to get the sea view hut – you will not regret.

Our hut was CLEAN: new towels, bed sheet, and new attached bathroom. Everything was new and clean! We asked for additional bed sheets, towel, and water air cooler (the Indian version of the A/C) – all was provided within minutes.

Our hut was a very basic accommodation, but it had everything you need to rest at night; the mattress was very comfortable, plus the new anti-mosquitoes net.

Can’t emphasize enough the friendliness and helpfulness of the stuff. My glasses were broken, and the owner of the resort made a special arrangement to fix them. So thankful for that!

And please do not miss their restaurant – it is a little gem. Freshly squeezed juice with the hot oatmeal and fresh fruits in the morning, wide selection of freshly made local dishes in the evening – no wonder why this place is packed all the time.

For certain reasons I had to plan at last hour for Goa trip. And all the supposedly good hotels and resort were booked. And since I travel with my pet dog, it becomes difficult to get a decent hotel. Then I found Tina beach resort and called them. Owner Dr. Raghu confirmed my booking. I was given cottages not facing the sea. But when I reached, I was lucky to get sea facing cottages.
Believe me. This is one of the best places to stay in Goa. No nonsense between you and nature.
My son enjoyed a lot in water. And my pet learnt swimming at this beach. Food was awesome. All the restaurant staff were good.
Rooms are basic. Sea facing huts are good. But in a way they are cut from the rest of the resort. Stay in the inside cottages and you could socialise more.
Car parking is enough to accommodate 4 sedans.
The beach is quite. No crowd like north Goa. No water sport scene here, atleast in October month. at south end of beach, there are boats which take you for a ride every morning.
The beach is very clean. But its sad that some of us dont care to keep it clean. While the foreigners keep the beaches clean, we ourselves litter our beaches.
All in all, a memorable stay it was. Do visit this place.

Room Tip: 101-104 are sea facing cottages.

We just returned back after staying at this resort for 3 days - our experience was fantastic. We were a bit sceptical about the cleanlines of the working boys there, but then we soon settled in a nice separate hut that was provided to us right next to the beach. The beach is not crowded at all and so private. The room is excellent made from wood with every basic amenity you need - mirrors in hall & bath, shower, towels and a bed with mosquito net. Do not expect the luxury of the Leelas and Tajs, but it is definitely worth the price. Reaching other places of Goa (north goa) is around 1.5 hrs of journey - you easily get bikes and cars for hire. Ideal of family and friends. Of yes, the food is excellent :) for NON-VEG and bad :( for VEG.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms facing the sea. They have better privacy and excellent view of the beach - of cours...

I stayed here last week and cannot stop talking about it to people. In all the 15 yrs of annual pilgrimage to Goa this was my most memorable! The location, the huts, the helpful staff (Minindo, Lucky and James) and the owner Dr Raghu made it all an excellent experience.

I initially planned a 2 days stay but then could not resist extending another day as the location is unparalleled. Nice and sturdily built wooden log huts with large bathrooms and a porch/sitout to sit and stare at the sea. They have a few sea facing huts that are the icing on the cake. You open the door to your hut and you are looking right into the vast expanse of the sea, no crowds, no litter, no cacophony of music...just the waves, breeze and you....beautiful! Also the fact that this beach is a protected turtle nesting habitat makes it even more special. During the nesting season, you could be sipping on that cocktail/beer while watching turtles come to the beach to dig and lay eggs. Raghu also mentioned that once the rains are gone, you would also be able to see dolphins from here!!!

The huts need some marginal work in terms of making it insect proof and that would bring so many more people to stay here. The real icing on the cake here is that they have their own fishing boat that goes in to the sea everyday. Over the 4 days I stayed there I got fresh lobsters and red snappers just off the boat!! Dont think any other place in Goa can boast of this luxury. Overall food does need some improvement but its not really a showstopper. The sea food and local Goan preparations are pretty good. I would give them the benefit of doubt for now on the kitchen as they were just setting up and had new management.

Tina's will definitely be a must stay everytime I go to Goa henceforth! I recommend it to all those who like to get a feel of the real goan beach holiday feel! The crowded, bar/club/restaurant//shop filled areas are only 20 mins away at Paololem for your fix if you need it....and after you are done with all that....you would want to come back to Tina's to rest and recuperate to the sound of nothing but waves.

Wish you guys all the best!

Room Tip: Try getting the sea facing rooms...you will not be disappointed.

One of the best properties in Goa. Location is picture perfect one could not ask for more. We stayed in the full sea view cottage. It was quite an experience to doze off to the tunes on waves hitting the shore.

Rooms and spacious and tidy, well kept property. Restaurant serves decent food. Safe place to stay. Great value for money. There are no ACs in the rooms, however it was not too bad to stay during April. Night temp drops significantly. Got decent car park, could accomodate 3 cars max.

The beach per say is a small strip of shoreline with hillock on either sides, adding more charm. Its quite and peaceful.
