Booked this guest house which recevied good ratings from the travellers. We are not regret with our choice as the location is perfect, which is walking distance to most of the eatery places in our wish list, and it is just another block away from the popular Jonker Street. However, you need luck to get a parking space if you are driving, though the owner do reserve some parking lots for the guests but it is usually fully occupied. Remember to check with the staff if you need to pay for the parking coupon, else, the enforcement office is always efficient to summon you.
The guest house is super clean, with great security controls. Love the design of the lobby, with murals done by the local artist, Mr William, who is also based in the guest house. Toilet cum bathroom is also very clean with shampoo provided. There is a garden at the centre of the guest house, with a little pond and well.
We are staying in the triple room at the ground floor. The only issue that we encounter is the noise from the guests staying upstairs. We can even hear their conversation clearly and can feel the "elephant walking". This is really annoying as it affects our sleep. We highlight the issue to the staff and the explanation is that this is an old building with poor sound-proofing system. Additionally, there is also sawdust from the ceiling on the bed which i believe is due to the "elephant walking" by the guests upstairs.
Anyhow, this is a lovey guest house with friendly staff and is definitely value for money. We will definitely choose this again on our next visit to Melaka but will certainly book a room at upper floor.
