i like the ambiance of this cafe, so vintage.
there are varieties of coffee and other beverages. for me, the taste of the food is so-so, though other siad that they have a good taste for laksa and so on. but i love their snacks.
if you visit jonker street, then you should try to stop here. at least for a coffee and snack.

Really casual place with loads of varieties of coffee and western food. The biggest surprise was the fact they are serving absolutely amazing laksa that has turned out to be by far he best we have had in Malaysia. Give it a go

this cafe is located in Jonkers Street. Its decorated pretty funnily in my eyes because of the wall hanging and other nic knacks.
they have 13 different coffees from each state of Malaysia and me being an ex-Malacca girl, i had to try it! it was pretty mild compared to the local kopi O but quite good.
we ordered otak otak spring rolls which came fried, brownie with and vanilla ice cream and their cendul ice drink.
A very nice homely atmosphere in a bustling town on a hot day....its perfection!!

this is a must stop whenever i visit malacca. the golden rice chicken and coffee jelly are what i enjoyed most. just the right balance of spice, lemongrass and chilli used in the chicken rendang and the crunchiness of the nuts with ikan bilis. had this meal on 2 consecutive days. the consistency in the dish is what i appreciate most unlike some restaurants whereby the standard drops with popularity. certainly not at calanthe. enjoy!

From the outside, this place looks very quirky and interesting, but I never imagined it to have good food. They serve a number of local dishes and everything we ordered was excellent.

They also have good coffee
