I was there for one night in the Superior room, I was rather impressed with the clean room with 1 queen and single bed. It's rather worthy as it came with buffet breakfast for 2. The hotel lobby doesn't seem like a budget hotel at all. The staff were friendly too.

The only drawback is the car park which is located behind the hotel block within 5 minutes walk which i did not feel safe about. In short, it's still worth a stay!

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your feedback. As for security at the car park at the back of the hotel, we have security guard on duty every night. You can also ask for escort service to accompany you to park your car when you come back late at night. Its free service from the hotel.
Thank you.

Thank you for the compliments of the Hotel. We are located near the main highway towards the city. So its a bit noisy. Parking charges in front of the Hotel are beyond our control as it is imposed by the Municipality. To save cost its better to park behind the Hotel in front of the Apartment block. It belongs to the Hotel.
Thank you.

I inquire the hotel room availability on the phone and were quoted rm119 per nite including sahur. sounds good.
I checked in half an hour later and were asked for rm200 for deposit. no big deal. when i asked to confirm the rate again, i were told it was rm81. sounds even better. i could rate this as value for money stay.
Lets begin with reception area. though a small space the designer managed to present a welcoming surrounding with a well located reception and waiting lobby. a couple set of sofa were placed on the left side of the foyer with power points strategically located by the pillar. this is indeed a comfortable place for u to sit back and enjoy the free wifi available while u chuck in ur laptop/phone charger to the power point. mind u the internet connection is very good. its an open wifi with designated password only for patron. on right hand side is the restaurant and an elevator to bring u up to ur room. allrite the restaurant is a bit turn off with lousy kopitiam like arrangement.
My room was at level 2. it has a total of 4 storey including ground and roof. since this hotel was originated from a shophouse no matter how u arrange it, u still got a feeling of it as a shophouse. long corridor, end to end.
the access card system was newly installed. it works well. till i insert the card into the power on slot, i thought the lights was spoiled. i almost call reception for a change of room till i put the switch in OFF position, and wallah- the light is on. they wrongly installed the switch!
My room was provided with a queen bed and a single bed. For me, alone. cant blame em as it was the only room available. The tv was a flat screen HD tv. i enjoyed watching olympics 2012 badmintons final in full exciting drama!
room is quite small with simple furniture but well proportionated. Wardrobe is without door. no coffe table and no power point by the bed. urghhh. peek into the bath. no tub, nice toiletries showr foam, shampoo, toothbrush, shower cap and buds. gud enuff for this kind of hotel. the ac controller is wall mounted. means u have to get out from the comfort of ur bed to turn it off or on. i tried the room service dine in. reasonably priced, took 15min to arrive. as promised.
There are no door tags for DO NOT DISTURB or PLEASE MAKE UP ROOM. It was replaced with a switch from inside the room which will lite up icon outside the room when we turn it on. i wonder what will happen if i turn on both tags.
To cut it short- i check out at the reception and a bit surprised when my room was actually charged rm119. well i dun mind paying but it was actually different from what i were told earlier.
Theres a communication breakdown in between their staff and me. obviously they have pretty bad english comm skill and they failed to understand my question.
Anyway if u were planning for a sight seeing in melaka, this hotel cud be ur strategic hotel for a stay. just for a stay.

I stayed 3 days 2 night in the premium 3 rooms apartment with 7 pax of my family members. The environment was okay since we stayed in ground floor facing the small swimming pool juz for the children.nothing else to view !
The food spreading on breakfast need to be upgrade.the taste of chicken rendang as not fully cooked. only main course.nasi lemak and ayam rendang and one option for noodle. Convinient to go to Melacca town. The housekeeping staff is helpful. only staff name zahidi is helpful in reception area. The Wifi service is SUCK ! (need to be upgraded)..with few times calling to reception and been told vary passwords and user ID..not helpful !!!
Overall we are only enjoy with comfy bedrooms that Kings Hotel provided.
For food, environment and other facilities need to upgraded.

Room Tip: only one premium apartment with 3 rooms is available on the ground floor. The reception lobby is apa...

Drove up from Singapore last Friday - to Melaka and walked in to check if they have any room for the nite.

The Malay Recept guy said yes - the rate is M$190 nett - the more senior Chinese staff quickly said ...Oh that category of room has been sold out - they have the one room apartment at M$210 (about S$90) nett still available - with breakfast for two.

The apartment block is located about 100 metres from the main building and overlooked the big carpark - brightly lit - which is good as I see my car from my room on the second floor.

The room is huge - the toilet is big and very clean. Only a pair of room slippers provided (in different colours and in different size too !!). Furniture is old - but clean. TV is new - and have only a couple of channels.

The aircon control is fixed behind the balcony curtains.

Breakfast is surprisingly good - the nasi lemak is fragrant and fluffy. The char kway teow was excellent (and replaced with mee goreng as it ran out quickly ). Catered for local palates - it was excellent food. You won't go hungry.

Checkout was quick. Excellent value for money until .... we went to town and saw the new Hatten Hotel.

The new Hatten Hotel is next to the Mahkota Shopping Centre - their rates are only a couple of dollars more (opening launch) and parking is within the complext and all the shopping is just next door.

There is a spa/massage a couple of doors away.
