At one end of Jonker St, great Hawker food/ Streeet markets on Friday/ Saturday nights ! Very helpful hotel, great rooms bath/shower, art deco building ! Great Cafe next door, everywhere has WiFi. Important do stuff eg walking early or late in the day ! Great city ! Great hotel !!

Room Tip: Back of hotel would be quiet but you'd miss all the fun & excitement of the street!!

A last minute booking for a Friday night, and we were so lucky to get this. Best location, friendly, comfortable, and the characterful karaoke right outside! I usually dislike loud music, but somehow this added to the flavour of staying in this atmospheric property on the heart of Chinatown. Would definitely repeat the experience.

Situated in the most ideal location! Really great rooms with very comfortable beds... the bathrooms are good but probably not great for elderly or handicapped visitors because the shower was inside the bathtub... Some people were complaining about the music from the karaoke (on the days that the night market is on, the elderly malaccans come out and sing and dance for each other, so charming) however I found it completely fine. Also it didnt go on past 1030. Breakfast is not included but malacca is the kind of place where its fun to explore especially for cafes! this hotel is highly recommended!!

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved the place. It is in a Prime Location to enjoy the street market on Friday, Sturday and Sunday night. Walking to all the "old town " attractions is so easy, with everything so close. The staff where very friendly and extremely helpful, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Large room, extremely clean, in room safe, air con and fan, tea and coffee supplies topped up every day, room seviced daily, small fridge: all anybody could ask for. The Hotel is 80 years old, has high ceilings and hall ways that run at unusual angles, staircases and rooms that aren't quite square, but that just adds to the quaintness of the place. If there were any negitives it would only be that there is no lift. Not to worry, the staff carried our stuff up stairs for us. If you can't do stairs, this is not the place for you, otherwise ask for a room on the 1st floor or increase your fitness level and work off the satays you will eat during your stay.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back were quieter on weekends, due to markets out the front. During the week it wouldn...

The hotel is situated in the old part of Malacca. Whilst it does not look attractive from the outside, it is a complete contrast inside. The rooms are large, spacious and designed beautifully. There are very clean, come with free wi-fi and the bathrooms are modern and spotless. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is great for exploring as you can easily walk anywhere. The hotel does have umbrella's you can use, if necessary, so you do not need to bring your own. There is a night market over the weekend which has a great atmosphere and starts right outside the hotell.

It totally looked like a haunted house. But the moment you step into Jonker Boutique Hotel (JBH), it feels better than any 5 star hotel. The receptionist is super friendly, check in and out is fast and easy. The rooms were simply fantastic. The designs were great, good tv channels and a bathroom which no other hotel can compare with. The rooms come with aircon and a ceiling fan which is superb as you don't wanna wake up in the middle of the night feel too cold from the aircon so you just put it at 25 deg C and switch on the fan at the lowest speed. It is the best temperature to sleep in and save the environment too. The location is fantastic. Stay over the weekend and you will see the night market. So many stores with souveniors and great food. If you wanna go to the shopping malls, then you can take a cab (10 mins ride). You probably would love the fact that it is inexpensive to stay here too. Oh, this is 3 star hotel so don't expect to see swimming pool. But I highly recommend this hotel as it is away from the city, a nice getaway.
