Description: Limau Limau Cafe is a hidden gem, we are located in a strategic location near Jonker Street, Melaka. It is set opposite Kampung Kling Mosque. Limau Limau Cafe is unbelievably charming with lots of old school photo frames, wooden furniture and memorabilia. A perfect old-school charm for breakfast and exotic freshly made juices! It is worth the value considering its homey and relaxing ambiance.

We stumbled on this cafe the night before, and spotted that it offers breakfast, so we decided to come over for breakfast the next day (because we couldnt find other decent bfast places). Nice ambience, ok food at ok prices, but could have been better.

“staff could be friendlier.”
Reviewed 29 December 2013

Have been here before, today was my second visit and one thing i would like to highlight about this little place is how unfriendly the proprietor/staff can be at times. Found it a little uncomfortable when the staff gave us one word answers when we asked about their menu, such as their breads and etc. We were not allowed to go upstairs since not all of us were having breakfast, and then there was the other rule whereby one person must have a drink or else no dine-in. For me, its just too many stipulations for one to enjoy a good breakfast...I guess it wouldn't be such a great place for catch up sessions if you have friends who just want to sit with you and catch up without partaking in anything on the menu. The place is small, albeit very enchantingly and cleverly decorated, hence i suppose is why they have all these imposing rules to be able to accommodate everyone. Their ciabatta sandwich, although a little pricey for malaccan standards (seeing as I am Malaccan), is nice and so are their smoothies and such. There are breakfast sets available so do not miss out on those! We ended up spending quite a bit since we completely missed those handwritten menus on their sets. All in all, it is an ok place for a quick meal and to enjoy their randomly placed chandeliers (for decorative purposes). Would like it ALOT better if they could get their staff to work on their pleasantries and friendliness.

“Loving the environment”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

If you love healthy sandwich, then this will be good place for you. Loving the decoration & ambiance there. The juice cost abt 10 each& no sharing for drinks(1 drink/ customer policy). It's a little pricey for me. It will be better if sharing of drinks is allowed.

“Strictly average”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

Limau Limau will do if you are particularly hungry and in the neighborhood, but it is nothing to write home about. Whoever described it as having a Europen feel has not been to Europe in a while. The place is small, offering counter service on uncomfortable stools. The is an upstairs, apparently, to which we were not invited to go. The food is certainly edible, even if the sliced chicken sandwich consisted of thick ciabatta bread, lettuce, tomato and, maybe, the s mall slices of chicken. All in all, ok, but no more than that.

I like the sandwiches.... Yummy and the fruit juices are wonderful after a long day's walk in Jonker Street.
