Half way through our stay at Roof Top Guest House and I cannot rate highly enough the wonderful experience we have had as a family. We booked the triple room, 3A, which is located in the centre of the second floor. The whole guest house is spotlessly clean, with ample shower rooms, out door and indoor common spaces. Our room has both an airconditioner and a fan. The beds are extra large twins, and we all slept very well, a must for enjoyable travel. The guest house is very close to Jonker Street, Malacca river and the UNESCO world Heritage listed area. Mani is an excellent hostess, sharing local eating spots, and must see sites as well as off the beaten track experiences. She gave us a cool lychee drink to enjoy while sharing the local knowledge. There is an ample kitchen and free wifi - I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: 3A - triple room was very quiet and comfortable.

I found Roof Top Guest House to be a fabulous place to stay. The garden area was lovely - the place was quiet and clean and the host Mani was very, very helpful. She supplied us with a map and a juice as soon as we walked in the door and then told us all the amazing places to go and eat. We managed to go to about five out of the eight or so recommended - and they were all absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend this place. A really great place to stay. Thank you for making Melaka one of the BEST places to spend a couple of nights.

I've stayed for 4 nights at rooftop guest house. It has really friendly owners, clean room with proper air conditioning and fan, and great location to explore melaka (3 mins walk to jonker street).
All the restaurant recommend by mani were really nice and cheap.
Overall it's a really pleasant experience staying there.

Roof top guest house was nice and tranquil, and it offers a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas nearby. Room and the house was clean, and the location was good. We were welcomed warmly by Mani, who was really hospitable and showed us places to go and eat on a very elaborate map. I highly recommend this place.

I highly recommend this guest house. Very clean, quiet, and generally cozy. Free wifi and you can watch TV or DVDs in the lobby, which serves as a "living room". Location is also good, close to city center.
