We ordered one of the lunch sets because there were many of us. There was a tussle for the last lemak prawn in pineapple curry (excellent), and then the ayam pongteh (good) The fried squid was all but ignored because it was meh. The fried fish was bland, though the accompanying sambal was good. The chap chye mixed vegetables was disappointing, and I expected a tastier (and bigger?) otak-otak. The proprietor was very nice though, and I highly recommend their cendol: best to order one for each person, because no one will want to share.

Well cooked and presented Nyonya cooking. Lunch of 2 dishes, a beer and some water was RM30 (GBP5). Well patronised by locals which is usually a good sign.

This place is halal so no pork. This can sometimes be a problem for authentic nonya food, especially ngio hiang. The food was basic average at best. Service was also quite impersonal and dry. Forgettable.

We had chap chye, ngoh hiang, otak, buah kaluak chicken, lime juice and chendol. The chap chye was a big disappointment, it was a gluey mass. The ngoh hiang had more flour than ingredients. The otak was more like fish cake. The buah kaluak was the saviour of the bush kaluak chicken (which appeared to be boiled before cooking). Overall a disappointing dinner. Service also haphazard - they served our dinner to the wrong table. The good thing is the chendol and lime juice. If anything, the chendol is worth a second visit.
