We saw this restaurant on a travel show and decided to give it a try. The restaurant belongs to celebrity chef Kenny Chan (who apparently played the nyonya(!) character in the longest-running Malaysian TV sitcom, Baba & Nyonya) so there is a cardboard cut out of him outside this restaurant.
We don't claim to be experts in Peranakan food but we found the food tasty and produce of high quality. The fried fish came was a whole fish (rather than fish fillets) and it had a great balance of sour and spicy and was cooked just right. The other recommended dish would be the Sambal Udang Petai (Prawns with Petai beans).
For dessert, we had the nyonya chendol. This was a tad too sweet for us, but the "bitterness" of the brown sugar was quite nice.
