“good tasting perenakan food...”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

this place is run by a family and they are able to maintain the standard and the quality of their dishes. Though they are pretty slow in cooking but I seriously think that its worth the wait. However, one thing that I had noted was that the price seems to be going up. Correct me if I am wrong but still a good place to try out some nice nyonya dishes.

“Tasty Nyonya Restaurant @ Melaka”
Reviewed 26 August 2013

The atmosphere is good, the waitress is friendly, and the food is tasty. For me the price is just abit pricy. But worth for a try, Nyonya is a characteristic special in Melaka.

I want to recommend the Fried fish, the fish skin is crispy and the inside is not oilly at all! This is amazing. Nicely fried. All eight of us was statisfied the food there, except the drinks and the cendol. We don't like the cendol serve there. But the Otak-Otak is amzing.

Nyonya food mainly is spicy, so for those who have kids maybe need to bring own babyfood. :)
Adults loves spicy but kids don't eat. But there are some (little) non-spicy food on the menu.

We ordered 1chicken, 2 veges, 2 fishes, 1otak-otak, 1spicy squids, 3 cendols and drinks. Cost around RM280+

“A nice and friendly place.”
Reviewed 3 July 2013

After we arrived and could not get a table at Makko's we crossed the road and ate at Cottage Spices. The food was not bad. My kids loved the Nonya Chicken Wings and we all loved the Otak.

Best of all the Owners were most helpful when we asked for directions.

“Worth a try”
Reviewed 3 June 2013 via mobile

After the unpleasant experience @ Hard Rock Cafe the night before..we explore what else Malacca had to offer.

The hunger after a few laps in the pool will be a big risk to try out a new place for lunch. Luckily, we found about this place through Trip Advisor review.

The place is not that big..about 8 big (comfortably seats 8 adults or more) tables available.

The deciduous smell of nyoya food is noticeable once you enter the place.

We tried the Asam Pedas, Lemak Sotong, Kankung Belacan and Cincalok Omelette.

Only Jenahak is available for the Asam Pedas. Its good but Asam Pedas lovers may have other better experience.

The Lemak Sotong is our valued meal of the day. Not that spicy for kids and enough to satisfy mom and dad.

Kangkung Belacan is average. Nothing to shout about.

Cincalok omelette is a bit below expectation. We were hoping to find abundance of the cincalok inside but could hardly taste it.

Our bill came out for MYR118 which is quite decent for a family of 4+3. Its hard to gauge really as they do not have a fix price but a range of prices for a meal.

Value for money...4/5
