This is the place to visit during the weelends in melaka. Its called the pasar malam locally where u can find street vendors prying their trades along the old streets. Lotsa of stuff to see and eat along this street. Its right opp the church of Melaka. One thing to note is that this place is packed to the brim during the weekends and remember to dress light for the walk.

You should visit this place during the weekend. The weekend have the night market start at 5pm.. You can try the local foods behind the stage... Lots of food you can try... Price are ok..
After your dinner, you can do some small shopping.... Or you also can choice to have some drinks near the bar there ...

But Please BEWARE you hand bag.. If can, Please don't take the handbag with you.

It's quite amazing that when you are walking around the jonker street you will find yourself back to the time when everything was "old schooled". There are many things to be seen and bought when walking around this district, many people will usually come here to buy some "peranakan" specialty food such as the famous pineapple cake which is freshly homemade! and of course you can find some souvenir too! I suggest you too visit this place when in malacca rather than going to some huge mall near there. Well? what can i say, Jonker Street was amazing experience!

It was certainly an eye opener for me because at every stall, it requires one to stop & see all the stalls.

Loved the old fashioned buildings. The souvenir shops were reasonably-priced. The street is narrow, so be careful walking. Alot of cars and scooters use the road - which doesn't have a full footpath.
