Reviewed 13 May 2014

it is no smoking zone. and the street is quite dark during night except you see coffee shop or bar that still open for business. The jonker street only open at night from friday to sunday till 12 .

should have street light for pedestrian.

“Depends.....”
Reviewed 10 May 2014 via mobile

I personally don't really want to be in a extremely crowded place. I feel jonker street is a little overcrowded.
Great news is that, you get almost everything you need here. Cultural, persona use, and most importantly GOOD FOOD. Embark into a journey of street shopping with a touch of cultural element. It's a one of its kind night market.

“Tourist Trap”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

The worst night market we went to in Malaysia. Very touristy and trinkety. A few interesting street foods to try, but overall very crowded and no local crafts to buy. To be fair we were traveling on a Holiday weekend, so that may have been the reason for the crowds.

“Night Market with Street Food & Tourist "Slightly Overprice" Shopping”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

If you are going Melaka for the first time, this is a must to visit Jonker Street to experience the local culture and see the historical heritage site nearby.

Lots of street food, try not to eat if you have a strong stomach. A place where you can find the local delights. For tourist, please make sure you have agree on the pricing before confirming the food order.

“Fun Night Market”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

The road is so alive with the lights and the buzzing of people, it s a buzy night market selling variety of things from street foods, fresh fruits, sotong bakar (grilled squid), to souvenirs like tshirts, handycrafts, toys, etc.

At the other end of the road they would have live performance entertaining all the road side diners.
