“busy and cosy”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

The Jonker Street is a very nice street with cafes, restaurants, temples and lots of shopping opportunities. There is a night market which gets extremely busy but yet remains cosy because it's rather small. Besides the stalls on the street where they sell very nice handicrafts, souvenirs etc, there are also "proper" shops which are a nice break from the mass of people and the heat. The shops also have a variety of unique pieces (bags, clothes, furniture etc.).

“A must visit....”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 via mobile

Parking is scary but walking is the best. This street has a lot to offer. From food to souvenirs and places of worship. It's always bustling with tourists. Colourful atmosphere. They must to have its is chicken rice balls and ice shaven delicacies.

“Streets and streets of food stalls”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

Jonker St food markets on Friday to Sunday nights now stretch out to surrounding streets. There are so many treats to try - look out for the LW Pineapple Tarts (at the far end of the street and sold at a number of stores) as well as the many local dishes. Bon appetit!

“Bustling historical street”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

Has become a very busy street since we came here more than 10yr ago. Still has a nice atmosphere to it and lots of shops on the street from antiques to touristy stuff and food.
A bit tacky with the bunting put up above the street, they dont nd this.
