I couldn't get enough of the night market: bustling, weird and wonderful food and drinks, cheap trendy cloths, street performers, henna tattoos.

There is a stall selling Yogurt Ice-cream which has different flavours at RM3. This egg shaped ice-cream attracts lots of people.

You have not truly been to Melaka if you have not walked down this street. Stores selling fashion, fake legosets from China, old school toys, fresh coconuts..... A must visit even if shopping is not your thing.

Variety of foods and shopping of antiques - brings you back 30, maybe 40 years back with some of the things available to buy. Be careful when walking on the streets - there are no proper pedestrian walkways - but amazing during the weekends - the street market makes the street lively. During normal days, not all the shops remain open - and when they do - they close by 5 or 6pm

Not as fantastic as expected but almost everyone visits the state for that street where hawkers only set their stalls up during the weekends. Repeated stalls along the whole street. Was there very much for the food, especially the fresh seafood; scallops, clams and many others. This however seems like a "usual Chinatown" street. Very touristy (over the weekends). Very squeezy and humid but as others had mentioned, you haven't really visited melaka if you haven't gone to Jonker Street. Those planning for a trip there should experience it before it's gone.
