Still people occupied in their Sundays prayers - where this church active in daily morning mass and opened to tourist. I like the building cleaning and well maintained with olden days color.

“Modest catholic church”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

For Catholics, a very modest and plainly decorated church.
But a peaceful place to visit and wander around.

“The Grandeur of the Dutch!”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

A lot of stories are told about some of the people who lived and died in Malacca of that era are inscripted on slabs or plaques mounted on the wall. Some tell of a grim tale of live and death of their loved onces, you could almost cry, reading them.

Built in 1753 by the Dutch, the oldest protestant church in Malaysia, took 12 years to build. The 8 foot long ceiling beams were cut in one piece and constructed without joints.
The handmade pews are original and date back 200 years.
A must visit!

“A snap shot of history”
Reviewed 4 December 2013

St Peter's Church provides a quick history of the interaction between South-East Asia and the powerful nations of Europe over the past 600 yrs.

The site is well researched and tidy which is not always the case in Malaysia
