A nicely cooked juicy Thai grilled fish with a pungent garlic and chili dipping sauce, is one of my all-time favorite meals to eat in melaka!

“" Sawadeekap "”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

I am really happy that Tuk-Tuk Thai's kitchen and bar opens it doors right in the Unesco World Heritage area (Old China Town). After the closing down of AK47(Thai's homecook resataurant ) ,I am kind of depress as there are none nice Thai's cooking in this area till tuk-Tuk came along.
Tuk-Tuk is owned by the same person who runs the famous Thai restaurant and bar - Baan 26 in Kuala Lumpur (Changkat Bukit Bintang),therefore chefs in Tuk -Tuk are from Thailand too.

If you really like spicy authentic Thai's cooking, don't tell the chef here how to cook it,for starter try their mango or papaya Som tam ( Salad with fish sauce) and their clear base seafood tom yam or red tom yam with chicken you will have smoke coming out of your mouth.Deep fried pandan leave wrapped chicken, minced chicken with basil leaves ( I prefer with minced pork but Tuk -Tuk serve no pork ),thai fried fish cakes and grilled whole Siakap fish (pre order advised) are not to be missed. No matter how full you are, never stop ordering their dessert-The mango sticky rice, the rice is soft and warm with the sweet and cold mango, what a perfect combination !

If you are a fan draught beers,Tuk-Tuk have Guiness, Kilkeney and Tiger for you,for better deal come during their Crazy Hours from 6pm-7pm and 10pm-11pm daily.

“Taste”
Reviewed 27 April 2014 via mobile

Went Tuk Tuk for dinner. I've ordered green curry chicken + rice + egg. However, taste is sweet without spiciness on it and watery. I think it can be better with more strong ingredients and taste a bit more authentic. The inner environment is good but a bit hot and we prefer sit at riverside to enjoy night view with drinks.. playing some mix-reggae songs. Overall, not a bad choice to come again.
