Really enjoy the special dinners. The scallops are wonderful and even my non-scallop loving husband is now a convert!

“True Fine Dining”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

This restaurant is definitely for a special occasion - the occasion being that you want delicious food, beautifully served. Come to True for a great dining experience and leave the restaurants with the TV's on the wall for some other time.

“mixed feelings”
Reviewed 24 February 2014

I have been to True several times. Sitting at the bar with Blake has been the highlight since she is such a delightful person. She also makes a killer bloody mary. Brunch is okay if you're in the mood to spend too much money on a chicken biscuit. Since the dinner menu changes a lot it would be pointless to share any favorites. I do, however, hope that if ever you order crawfish beignets you get more than a mouthful of fried sour cream. I have ordered this appetizer three times hoping for a better outcome. Apparently properly mixing this mixture of seasoning, crawfish and cream is too much to ask. Fried chicken skins are yummy- but you can get twelve times as much with a bucket from KFC. The outdoor seating is SO nice but even on beautifully sunny days there's a possibility you will HAVE to sit inside. If you go with just one other person you should sit at the bar. Their two tops are located under vents meant to chill Rumpelmintz.
Fingers crossed for something amazing to happen during my next visit.

“Valentine's Day Special”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

We had a very interesting dinner here for this Valentine's Day. The menu was curtailed to a four-course dinner with two options per course. My salad which I chose for the first course was good but not exceptional. A cauliflower-let was served as an hordourve again it tasted good but there was just one small flower-let per person. My next selection was a gumbo which was interesting, but only half a bowl. My rib-eye was exceptional, delicious, and tender but a very small amount. I believe the vegie pate was broccoli, but I'm not sure since there was so little of it. They mixed a variety of flavors together that made the items unusually flavored and different. The dessert also an unusual combination. I loved the chocolate fondant which had no sugar but maybe amaretto added to it. I liked the peanut butter pie, but the chocolate chip ice cream I really loved, again you only received a sampling of the ice cream. Grilled grapes or peach preserve with orange flavoring smattered on the dish was not a necessary combination for these items.

“Not open???”
Reviewed 14 February 2014

Have heard that True was awesome. Tried to have lunch there on Friday but it wasn't open. Checked website, door hours and phone recording to make sure I didn't miss something. All said lunch was available 1100 - 2:00....we waited 25 minutes to no avail.

Recommend calling ahead for lunch.

Hope to get back soon to upgrade this review.
