Drury Inn & Suites Montgomery

Drury Inn & Suites in Montgomery is not to be underestimated! Quick check-in with 3 drink cards per adult was just the perfect start. This establishment serves a variety of free meals for breakfast & dinner, free soda products and free popcorn available in the lobby 24 hours a day (which is almost non-existent for hotel stays nowadays). During dinner time, alcoholic drink cards can be redeemed. The rooms are nice with a separate living area from the bedroom with the bathroom space as the divider. The rooms & bathrooms were clean & beds comfortable. There is an indoor spa, workout room & indoor/outdoor pool for guests to enjoy. There is also an on-site washer & dryer to cleanse soiled clothes. For safety, the lobby is secured after a certain time & requires your room card for entry. Did I forget to mention that the overall service from this location is impeccable? Overall, the value for everything you receive is second to none. The only negative I have is that the alcoholic drinks were kind of weak (as if watered down). Other than that, I was thoroughly impressed & would consider staying at Drury Inn & Suites in the future!

We were not planning on staying in Montgomery, but did not get as far as we thought we would on our trip and needed a place to stay that took pets. This was our first time at a Drury and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The room was clean and very large with a separate living area. The hotel had comfortable beds, a friendly staff, and a great breakfast. I will definitely be staying at a Drury again.

This is my first time staying in a Dury Inn and it was a lovely hotel for the price. The staff is so friendly and the facilities super clean. It is a great place to stay with your family and the extras really are not extra.

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Work out area is small. Small indoor/outdoor pool and whirlpool. Great variety at the standard breakfast bar- waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereals, yogurt, fruit, etc. no vending machines, expensive snacks in the guest pantry. Waffle shops are located nearby, one within walking distance.

We were optimistic, based on the number of good reviews and our friendly greeting upon check-in. We received a good rate for an oversized 2 queen suite, which was HUGE!

Things quickly went downhill. The faucet in our kitchenette area FELL OFF when I turned on the water. The fridge was barely cool. Even though our room was nonsmoking, the hallways smelled smoky. Guests couldn't get in the pool area with their room keys and had to let each other in from inside. The water in both the pool and whirlpool was murky. Traffic noise was pretty bad, even from the top floor.

Breakfast was the somewhat above average fare typical of Drury.

First, the plusses: Staff was very good, location is good, and breakfast is good. 2nd, room for improvement: rooms are well worn and in need of refurbishment, evening snack is awful, and beds are very "shaky." ** The inexcuseable: during our stay, there was a prostitution "ring" going on just down the hall with apparently not too much worry about anyone knowing.**

Room Tip: Avoid the 2nd floor, unless you don't mind running into the prostitutes and their pimps in the h...

I read many of the recent reviews and expected to love this hotel. It is actually a nice place in need of a renovation. It was built in 2005, and the room showed it. The fridge area had cabinet doors that didn't close and looked very beat up. The lighting in the bath was below average, the furniture and carpeting looked tired and dingy. I was also a little surprised at how long it took for housekeeping to get to our room. It was nearly 4:00 p.m. It has a nice pool, a beautiful lobby, and the front desk staff were very pleasant and accommodating of a late check out for us on Sunday. Not sure if I'd go back - there are other worthy hotels in the same price range nearby that I might try first.

Room Tip: Lots of noise from a nearby drag strip on a Friday night - not sure where the best room is to avoid...
