“Awesome Experience!”
Reviewed 28 April 2014 via mobile

We stopped at this hotel for one night on our way south. We chose Drury Inn based on its positive reviews, and because it was pet friendly. We arrived to a sumptuous happy hour that included enough food items to cover our dinner! It had hot dogs, penne pasta in marinara, meatballs and sauce, salads, fresh vegetables and dip, and more! Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was welcomed, and comfortable. The room was immaculate, and the service welcoming and professional. Excellent hotel chain!

Stopped in with my family. The hotel clerk was friendly. When arrived very late but she got us checked in quickly. The hallway to our room smelled of smoke. On entering the room we didn't smell smoke but it was a bit musky smelling. The beds were comfortable and clean. I would give a better rating if they can fix the smells. It was very unpleasant for my sister who has a very sensitive sense of smell.

Stopped here on our way thru town. We got in late but the desk clerk was friendly. The beds were comfortable and clean. The major complaint is that although the rooms are non-smoking, the hallways smell like old cigarette smoke and it is very unpleasant. Surprisingly the rooms do not smell like smoke, but they so smell a little damp.

We recently stayed 5 days at the Drury Inn in Montgomery. It is not opulent but is very nice and they keep you happy with serving food (included in cost of stay) at morning and evening and popcorn and pop from 3-9 each night. Everyone was very pleasant. Beds were good too.

Stayed one night with a group of 46. Very nice rooms with a comfortable bed and a really good air conditioner. Breakfast looked good as well, although I chose to have only cereal and yogurt. Only drawback is the tight parking if you are a tour bus operator.

Reviewed 29 March 2014

Stayed here for (1) night passing through on our way to Orlando. I booked this hotel due to all the reviews. I needed a hotel with an indoor pool for the kids. I had requested a non smoking room (which we got) and ended up on the 4th floor. Fortunately we didn't experience smelling the smoke that other reviewers talked about.

We arrived around 4pm checkin time. There was a line, but it moved very fast. We were greeted by Michael Gaylord (asst GM), who told us about the evening happy hour - that was great. He was also very helpful telling us about some of the things to do with the kids once we get to Orlando.

We booked a family suite. The room was fairly typical although it was clean.

We left at 430am to hit the road and was very pleased and surprised that many of the breakfast items (coffee, muffins, cereal, fruit) were already in place. My family and I really appreciated that.

PROS:
Indoor pool/hot tub
Evening happy hour with kid friendly food and beer/wine
Next to Sams club (cheaper gas)
Right off of interstate

CONS:
Bathtubs were a little dangerous as there was no anti-skid on the bathtub floor.
The granite tiles on the floor in front of the bathroom and near the sink area are also very slippery when wet (should have been ceramic tile or anything other than granite tiles), my 18 month old slipped and fell (he was okay).

Room Tip: Ask for 4th floor if you want to avoid any smoke. The 1st floor is also designated as a non-smoking...

We appreciate hearing from our guests and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay with us. And thank you for your kind words; I will pass your compliments along to Michael and our breakfast team. I apologize for the slippery condition of the bathtub and granite floor you experienced, and will address your concerns with our Regional Maintenance Director. We'll see if we can come up with a non-slip solution. Our goal is to ensure all our guests have a safe, secure and comfortable stay.

We truly appreciate your business and hope to see you the next time you are in Montgomery!
