Jim is a wonderful, gracious host. Our room was perfect! Comfy king size bed with luxurious linens and beautifully appointed antique furnishings. Small, but perfectly adequate bath. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with interesting international guests. Oh yes! Pet friendly! Our dog was welcome.

Jim is simply the perfect host, and his Inn full of thoughtful luxuries to make a stay in his home comfortable, relaxing and a feast for the intellect. Great reading is on hand with newspapers and magazines as well as welcome discussions about the rich socio politics, history and literature that is this town. My only gripe is that I could not stay longer. The town has so much to offer the inquisitive and Jim is a wonderful guide with interesting insights. His breakfast is the best I have had. Nothing was too much trouble, including getting up at 4am to ensure we had a good breakfast for a long day of travel.
For those interested in comfort and cleanliness, the room could not be faulted by me, which is a novelty. I am definitely coming back.

Room Tip: All are a treat. Ours had two wardrobes, fresh towels and loads of them. Perfect shower, indeed the best I have had in the US.

We are moving to montgomery for military school and are unfamiliar with the area. This gem is geographically central to exploring all aspects of the Montgomery area. The Innkeeper has great recommendations for local culture and excellent food recommendations. The service is impeccable, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were perfect.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Magnolia Room. Ate at Sinclair's, Charles Anthony The Pub, and Tomatinos.

Unfortunately we could spend only two nights in Montgomery. Thankfully we chose to spend them at the Lattice Inn. Owner & host Jim was both welcoming and helpful, especially in those small ways that really make a difference when you're a long way from home.

We had wanted to visit the Southern Poverty Law Center for many years as we believe it to be one of the world's truly great charities. We'd also wanted to immerse ourselves, for a moment, in the history of the American civil rights movement. The Lattice Inn's close proximity to downtown Montgomery allowed us to do all that, with minimal fuss.

Jim's an excellent host, offers delicious breakfast, and knows a lot about his city and state. We'd happily stay at the Lattice Inn again if we visit Montgomery again some time.

We had a lovely time. The B&B is in the optimistically named Garden District. Just a few minutes from downtown. The Inn itself was absolutely charming. Jim has done a great job keeping the original feel while adding subtle amenities (such as Apple TV, wifi, nice new shower head). Breakfast was simple, very tasty and fresh. The home-made banana bread was a highlight.
