A recent stay at BW Catalina Inn exceeded all expectations. Very clean, comfortable and an excellent value. The beds are far superior to other motels in this price range. Although others have mentioned the proximity to Highway 82, the rooms are well insulated and largely soundproofed from the traffic noise. The owners are very courteous and accommodating to guest's needs. The Continental breakfast offers a variety of choices and is superior to the offerings at Hampton Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, etc. Would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area for business or pleasure.

Thank you for your kind words about our property! As a small hotel it is sometimes hard to compete with the larger hotels in the area, but we do take pride in our dedication to cleanliness and commitment to customer service. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, and we hope you will stop by again soon!

We stayed here for 3 nights in August. Close to the University of Alabama. The staff was very polite. I was impressed with how clean the rooms were. We usually stay on McFarland right near the university. I was glad that the we stayed here. The continental breakfast was more than I expected. Highly recommed this hotel

Stayed in 2 different rooms - 1 night in 2 doubles and 2 nights in a single queen. The double bed was very comfortable and mattress was probably newer than the queen. The foam in the queen seemed a bit fatigued as it let me sink to where I could feel the firm surface below and created pressure. It also created a hollow or foxhole where you got locked in.

When it's warm in AL, it you don't need to worry about the motel being situated on Mcfarland because the AC drowns everything else out. You don't even know other people are staying at the motel because of the drone. But it wasn't any louder than any other motel/hotel where the AC unit is in the room.

It's your average Best Western with the usual continental breakfast. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Very convenient to UA with the Wallace highway being very close by. You can get to UA much faster from this BW than from most places on Mcfarland closer to the 20/59 due to the traffic on Mcfarland.

This Best Western is small and quaint. It was very clean but my non-smoking room did smell obviously of smoke. The staff was gracious, polite and helpful. It was convieniently located and even though near a large road, fairly quiet. It is next door to a Waffle House and the diner's sign cast an interesting yellow glow over the hotel's parking lot. The pool was clean and inviting. I slept well in a squishy, prettily arranged bed and awoke with a hot shower in a well scrubbed bathroom. I did have to laugh at how the power-flush toilet scared me the first time.
This was a nice little small town inn--reasonably priced, safe and clean.

We were in town for a bowling tournament and wanted to stay somewhere that was a good value but didn't want to skip on quality so we figured that a Best Western would be a good choice. How right we were! The outside of the single story hotel is inviting and clean. The check in process was easy and lobby was clean, the staff was very nice. We opened the door to our room and was amazed to see that it had been completly redone. Fresh paint, new fluffy beds, flat panel tv, very clean room and clean sheets! The water pressure was great, awesome showerhead. It was nice and quiet, slept great check out was easy. There was plenty around to eat and shop.
