We stopped in for a late lunch and enjoyed all that Cobalt had to offer. Not the easiest place to find, hidden on an access road under a bridge, but worth the search. Recommended to us as one of the best in the area, and we can see why it's ranked as such.

love love love this place. Inside or out on the patio, enjoy the continental vibe of Cobalt's beautiful view. Not so hoity-toity that you feel uptight, but not so beach-scene that you are doing shots with the wet tee shirt crowd. I loved the food, and had an excellent bottle of wine and looked at the yachts berthed nearby. Right at the inlet between the bay and the gulf, so lots of interesting boat traffic, too. Beautiful esplanade to stroll on, and the state park beach is right across the channel. love their bloody marys!

I ordered a birthday cake from their bakery. It was horrible!!!!!! Not fit to eat- it was very obvious that it had been frozen! The icing was good but the "cake" part was so hard on the bottom that it could not be eaten! Very, very, very disappointed!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I had a late lunch on a cool November Sunday. The menu was extensive with a good variety of choices. The Sunday brunch looked and smelled delicious but we opted for a lighter lunch. I ordered the salmon from the "special" menu it was outstanding , served over sea beans and fried shiitake mushrooms, topped with a unique cranberry relish. The flavors complemented the delicious salmon. My husband had the catch of the day Cobie fish sandwich, Cesar salad and grilled baby asparagus which was also excellent. We'd order these entrees again. Our waitress, was very attentive. Oh, did I mention the very tasty Bloody Mary? Restaurant overlooks Perdido bay....very nice views. If in orange beach, you should try.... You won't be disappointed.

We take multiple trips each yr to AL Gulfcoast. Hands down best upscale restaurant. Indoor seating, outdoor seating and outdoor bar. I like to walk around the docks and look at the boats. Sometimes the docks are locked but still beautiful. Food and staff are both excellent. This is a must.
