“Can't believe this Hotel had such a high rating”

We stay in Orange Beach area several times a year. I will say this is the worst hotel we have stayed in yet. Very "VERY" dated. Only good things I can say would be it is on the beach, and it has a roof. Only have 2 valet carts and security gaurd has to stay with it, No microwave or fridge available unless you rent a penthouse suite. Fitness room is two treadmills, elipticals and a recumbent bike stacked on top of each other. Our bathtub was cracked and rusted so it looked as though someone bled to death in it, it wouldn't drain so you were standing shin deep in water while showering. Not a pleasant get away. Will follow up with review of Hilton Garden when we check in there! Wish us luck

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

Couldn't find anything wrong. Everything was clean and well maintained. I upgraded to a corner executive room and really enjoyed the extra space and windows. It had the beautiful beachfront bay window plue three others making it feel very open. The breakfast buffet was very good with service to match. Wi fi worked well in the room but not so much at the pool.

Room Tip: Room numbers start at 1 on the east and go to 20 on the west. I enjoyed the executive room on the we...

Rented a room for the weekend for a quick get away. The hotel staff were very friendly even though with it being a spring break weekend they were very busy. The bartender in the lounge was super friendly and so were the wait staff at the restaurant. The room was amazing. The beds were the most comfortable that I have ever had in a hotel and I slept like a baby. The gulf views were amazing. I would stay at this hotel again in a second!

We did a long weekend (4 nights) at Island House in the off season (early March). The executive king room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Television was OK--not a complete channel lineup. Room had fridge, but no microwave. We had real difficulties connecting to internet--both with laptop and iPad. When close to the window, we actually had more luck connecting to condos next door.

Didn't try restaurant.

I am always a bit anxious when visiting a new area and when staying at an unfamiliar hotel - but The Island House quickly but my mind at ease. The location was wonderful and the accommodations great!! Parking was plentiful, the lobby was clean, spacious, and inviting. Our room was on the 6th floor and we found it spotlessly clean and very inviting. Linens were fresh white, beds very comfortable, and the bathroom area very clean. I could find no fault in anything. The balcony was a good size and the view of the ocean breathtaking. It was my first visit but it will not be my last!!

We were coming back from Disney World when we stopped off in Orange Beach for a night. Oh my goodness, The Island House is awesome. Planning to go back for a whole vacation there. All of the rooms face the gulf! Wonderful time and a beautiful beach
