We were in town for the Widespread Panic concert at Oak Mountain and had friends satying at the Sleep Inn. After the concert we asked if they had any rooms available as it seemed like a better idea then driving back through Birmingham, and they had one left on the third floor. we took it for the night and ended up keeping it the next night too. Service was great and the front desk was very friendly considering the hotel was packed with concert-goers. It is right across the street from Oak Mountain Amphitheater and centrally located in Pelham to restaurants and the interstate. Everything is in walking distance. The room was nice and clean. Nothing special but comfortable and worth the $89.00 rate we got on the spot. I was extremely pleased with the stay. We used the pool but didn't try the continental breakfast at all. There was security in the front of the hotel and that may just have been for the concert but it was nice to know they were there.

On our way to Florida, we stayed at the Sleep Inn in Pelham, Alabama, just south of Birmingham. The lobby and room were clean, the staff friendly and helpful and they served a wonderful breakfast. The room, although not real large, provided ample space for my wife and me. The king bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent, near a multitude of restaurants and a Walmart/shopping right around the corner. We felt totally safe even while walking around the area in the late evening. If I ever were to need to stay in the Birmingham area, I would choose this hotel. One other plus: the room rate was excellent.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend in the Birmingham area. We found the location very convenient to the attractions we wanted to see in Birmingham (only about 20 minute drive up the interstate). There are nice restaurants and shopping a couple miles away in Hoover (less than 10 minutes). Lots of fast food choices nearby.

We found our bed to be very comfortable and our room to be larger than what I have typically encountered in a Sleep Inn. The bathroom is the standard sleep in style, round stand up shower only with the sink out in the room, but this is the brand standard, and is what we expected. The staff was very friendly and we felt the breakfast was above average.

I also stayed at the Comfort Suites in town for an additional couple nights. This was also fine, but if I was back in town again, I would probably pick the Sleep Inn unless I needed lots of space since the Comfort Suties has more space and a full bathroom.

. The hotel is well kept and the staff/owners obviously take pride in their business. We had lots of people with us so check in took a while but the staff hung in there with us with a smile and great attitude. The rooms are on the smaller side but I found ours was VERY clean. Bed was comfortable. Will say at times the locals could be heard driving by the fast food joints in front of the hotel playing the "music of their people" unreasonably loud but that is of no fault to the hotel but still something you should know as it is a pet peeve of mine. I was pleased and would aim to stay here if in the area again.

Comfortable, secure, quiet, and clean with a very accommodating and courteous staff! Add a low price and you have a great value! Very good better-than-basic accommodations! We went to the Pelham area for a tennis tournament. The Sleep Inn was well located for our venues, and for some good local restaurants when you are too tired for more driving and too much fuss. Check out Edgars Bakery, Dos Pesos, Margarita Grill, and Texas Roadhouse.

Room Tip: No bad rooms. Well off the highways and main drags.
