From the moment we arrived it was magic from the friendly people including the local villagers, definitely visit the village! To the snorkelling, the weather was perfect! We stayed in an ocean view deluxe bure fantastic! We were with our two teenagers who didn't want to leave! I recommend the half board meal plan (breki n dinner) I don't know what some people complain about!! Every meal was fantastic!! Can be expensive and highly recommend bringing snack foods (only shop there packet of chips $10.50... I know!!!) cocktails fantastic and the shows, Bon fires, crab racing, fire dancing all amazing! And the lady that sings in the band everynight awesome! A great family holiday and although there is construction going on did not affect us! Ups to them to improving their facility! Mana spa whole family went on our last night us pricey but worth it!! And by the way highly recommend the back packers the restaurant doesn't look much but food beautiful (we went for lunch) and to eat n drink there cheaper than resort! Loved it we'll be back for sure!!!

My wife and I and two boys aged 9 & 11 recently spent seven nights on Mana Island. The positives were:
1. Beautiful Reef for snorkelling.
2. very friendly staff.
3. very clean & tidy.
4. nice weather.
The negatives were:
1. Duplex bures with paper thin walls (the Family next door to us had a baby that cried 1-2hrs every night of our stay).
2. Over-priced Food & coffee - $6.50 Australian for a small pod coffee is very steep.
3. construction noise at 7am for Island bures near South beach.
We were very disappointed that Management could not move us to another quieter Bure - when you are paying over $300 a Night for accommodation, you expect a good Nights sleep.

Room Tip: If booking an Island bure - make sure it is a stand alone Bure, not a duplex. Avoid Island Bure 139...

My wife and I have just spent 23 days on magical Mana and again we had a tremendous holiday. Under the new general manager things are now being done. The jetty is still being renovated (albeit slowly), luggage has got to be manhandled to land and the reception bure is coming along nicely. Renovations to the kids pool and the Mamanuca restaurant commence later this year. Two lovely gardens have been planted on decks at the north and south beaches. We had all our dinners at the a-la-carte restaurant and the meals were very good. Prices were reasonable although $FJD18 for three scoops of ice-cream with flavouring seemed a bit steep. Each bar now has draft beer on tap and there are various specials on buckets of beer. The resort was 100% full during our visit but there was always plenty of room on both beaches. The prices and meal plans for children caused some concern amongst guests- I understand that management is looking at simplifying the system. There is a water park at the south beach with a giant slide and a pyramid like jumping structure. Whilst the resort advertises that all non-motorised sports are free they were charging for the use of the water park and the stand-up paddle boards, which made some guests particularly unhappy .Despite minor matters, all in all Mana is magnificent and we can't wait to return for Returnees Week in November.

Room Tip: The de-luxe ocean front bures are the best.

This was our 4th stay at Mana over the last 19 years. We had 7 days again in June 2014 and as we have come to expect it is a top location. Great for people who love the water as well as those just wanting to relax. The diving is very good with excellent dive masters. Thank you Joe. We stayed in a beach front Bure this time as it was our first trip without children. Excellent accommodation. The BIG problem with Mana is the meal plan. My advice is don't get the meal plan if you want to go to Mana. There is no breakfast available except a BIG American in the main dining room. This problem would be so easily overcome if the Resort opened up the South Beach restaurant for a la carte breakfasts. Our solution was to walk outside the resort to the Backpackers for breakfast, on the South Beach and then to walk a whole 100 metres further down the Beach to Ravi's Kitchen at the Mana Lagoon Backpackers for lunch or evening dining. Ravi is an excellent chef and you want be disappointed with the food. This offers variation to the resort restaurants where you quickly tire of the food choice. The staff are friendly and helpful but not as open and inviting as you receive on the outlying Islands of the Yasawa group. There is no question the whole Island is a step up in cleanliness and environmental attitude to what it was 19 years ago. Well done Mana.

My friend and I wanted to experince a relaxing island holiday, and thats what we got and more! We spent 7 nights on Mana Island, and from the welcome singing as we arrived to the final goodbye, the beautiful Fijian staff made sure we had a holiday to remember! We stayed in an Island Bure #112 and it was perfect for what we needed. The rooms were cleaned daily, we loved the outdoor shower and the ability to relax and sit out the front of the room and overlook the gardens through the coconut trees, perfect! Only thing was no tv or ipod dock available if you required it, just glad i had my laptop for this reason, when it was needed, I loved the location of the island bures, they were only a short walk to both the south beach and north beach. The beaches were lovely relaxing on white sand overlooking crystal blue waters and neighbouring islands, plus the snorkelling was Amazing!! It is a must for adults and kids alike! We also made our way to sunset beach, which is a beautiful location and peaceful, a bit of a walk though. We loved happy hour at the north beach bar, the staff were friendly and fun and it was a perfect location for watching those beautiful sunsets on Mana. A morning spent relaxing at the Mana Day Spa was amazing and is also highly recommended. We ate at both the South Beach Restaurant and Buffet Restaurant, and can't complain the food was great. The view while dining at South Beach Restaurant during the day is amazing overlooking the ocean. We also spent a day trip out on the Seaspray, and that was fantastic, highly recommend. Daily activities were available for adults and kids, and the adults only pool was perfect for relaxing with a cocktail or two in the sun. We enjoyed listening to the band and having a dance at night. A bit of construction work was in progress during our stay on the island, but it did not disrupt our holiday at all. Overall, the holiday was just what we were looking for, full of fun times, laughs and a relaxing atmosphere! We hope to visit Mana Island again!!

We stayed 4 nights in June 2014 with the whole family for my sons wedding. The island is beautiful the Fijian people are amazing and welcoming. We booked a deluxe ocean front Bure however upon check in we were upgraded for free to one of the honeymoon suites which were amazing and private and came with their own golf buggy! Great fun! The rooms were lovely and clean.
The facilities are being upgraded with very little intrusion to the guests and in the nick of time as it needs it! The pools were sparkling clean and the entertainment was fabulous and good fun. I highly recommend the hilarious bingo game by the pool at cocktail hour. What a hoot!
The food in the main hall was a bit disappointing. but reasonably priced. The chapel on South beach was an amazing spot for a wedding. The photos are to die for! Lovely Fijian choir sang during the ceremony and afterwards with champagne on the lawn by the beach. The reception was held on the terrace in the a la carte restaurant and all 5 courses were lovely however the fish was a little overcooked and they were too slow filling our wine glasses. Had to ask 4 times for a refill. It was a magical setting though.
All in all its a cheaper option for family holidays and good value.

Room Tip: The spa was amazing and has great staff.
