I had read a few reviews here where they say the grounds are dirty, I was on the island for 6 days and never saw any mess except under tables where kids had just eaten.
This is Fiji and everything is in Fiji time so don’t expect quick top notch service, it will all happen in good time.
The staff are fantastic. The bure was great.
Double check your bill at the end and remember to get your room key deposit taken off the bill.
Meal plans – if you are a big eater you need the plans. There are two plans full (3 meals a day) or half (either breakfast or lunch and dinner). I had the half plan as I am not a big eater and only bought lunch if I really wanted. The lunches cost about $18-28FJD but the buffet lunch was $55-75FJD (price varies according to type of buffet eg BBQ). Main meals cost from $45-58FJD. The meal plans include entrée, main and deserts. If you’re not a big eater then you may want to consider just paying as you go.
WiFi – on the island it costs $35 for 3 days or $50 for 7 days – this is unlimited. However it was down two days of our stay. If you only want to use emails then at the marina there is a vodaphone shop where for $35 you get a sim and either calls and 650mb data or you can just get 850mb data. If you view a lot of streaming media I’d go for the Island’s wifi, if your use is minimal buy on the mainland, and reception is good on the island. If you do go for the island wifi – it only works near the main area so you won’t get the wifi in a lot of the bures so ask for a bure close to the main area. But not bure’s 1-10 as these are near the generators and are a bit noisy.
Best rooms are from 60 upwards.

Room Tip: 1-10 (even up to 14) are near the generators. 60 upwards is on the beach side of the island. numbers...

My family and freinds (11 in the group) have just returned from Fiji. This was our 3rd trip to Treasure Island and every time we go there it gets better and better. The same staff are on the Island as when we first visited in 2008, which gives us the impression that they are passionate about there Island home, and it makes for a very personal holiday, and I can say that we stay in contact with staff even when we are in Melbourne. Nothing is ever to much trouble, all you need is to be patient, and after all you are on holidays whats the rush. The staff are freindly and helpfull, the rooms are more than adequate( without tv's and phones thank god). The grounds are well kept and the food gets better evey time. Do yourself a favour and try the Tepenyaki bar at least once while your there. Do your home work and book direct with the Island, forget about travel agents you will get a better deal going direct. I continually read bad reports about this destination on this web site, and all I can say is I have seen people carrying on at staff or at reception, abusing them and disastisfied with the most trivial things, these peaople will never be happy on holidays no matter where they go. If you dont get full value and total relaxation from Treasure Island, you should never have gone it was never going to be the place for you. We have been to the Intercontinental on the mainland in recent times and found that although it is of five star quality it had absolutely no feel and you could have been anywhere in the world, where as on the Island you know youre in FIJI. My family and I will be like so many others, who continually go back to Treasure every year for the forseable future. We love you Treasure and your people and we will be home soon.

We spent a day at Treasure Island to get in some snorkelling and other watersports. The snorkelling was fantastic as the fish came up very close to us. Unfortunately, my underwater camera was not working so I didn't get any video of these amazing fish. The clarity of the water was also incredible as we had visibility up to about 50 metres - stunning! The swimming pool was also quite amazing as you looked over the edge to the ocean.

Our first trip to Fiji and we loved this place. We took a beachfront room. Got a cheap deal on travel website - try to book in advance for cheap deals.
Room is right on the beach with your own beach chair. Large room which was cleaned daily.
It was my partners birthday and I arranged for flowers on the bed.
We did not buy the meal package due to diet restrictions/allergies and found enough options at lunch -Bellini sandwiches order from the bar. Brought our own cereal for breakfast and so as to not rush in the morning. Small fridge in each room.

During the day we took a kayak to a local island, had massages, swam in the pool. Met 3 new couples we got to know-had a great time.

The best thing other than the view was the staff, so much fun, take your time to get to know them. We danced every night- often the only ones in the floor! Loved the band and Ada's voice is fabulous ...
Have the resort book your travel connections - it is worth it.
The place is gay friendly, with several of the male staff also gay.

Remember with this Holliday you are paying for an island resort - not a room.
We will be going back..

First trip to Fiji; stayed for a week on Treasure Island as a couple and absolutely loved it! Amazing beach, turquoise water, snorkelling at your finger tips, fantastic food (a la carte and buffet), gorgeous swimming pool if you want a break from the sea, day trips, spa, spotless rooms, hammocks for chilling, and pretty much views of the water from any room! Its a small island yet it felt like there was lots of space to call it your own. Nice mix of families and couples with a great atmosphere. Best part though has to be dedicated to the staff at Treasure! What an amazing, completely genuine, friendly and happy group of people. Nothing ever seemed to be any trouble and I think their friendly demeanour made the whole experience just so enjoyable. Truly made our stay the relaxing and chilled holiday that we were looking for, and loved the singing!! Very surprised to read any bad reviews on Treasure (like the day tripper below), as we travel a lot and from our experience I really can't grasp how anyone could fault these guys and how well they look after everyone and the island. We'll definitely be back and recommending to anyone who wants to enjoy a genuine holiday to fiji, go to Treasure Island!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 63 which was a garden view, but to be honest it had a view of the sea and the whit...

Absolutely love it! My Fiji trip saw many hotels and resorts, including Mana & Tokoriki - but treasure island topped the list. The best beach, wonderfully affordable and huge grounds. Stayed in a garden bure, nicely humble and not too far from the beach and restaurant. The nightly entertainment was alot of fun. Food was great!

This was our first trip to Fiji. We chose to stay at Treasure for 4 days, before spending a couple of days in Denarau. Treasure was a great place. If you are expecting a 5 star resort, then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for lovely, friendly service everywhere, immaculately clean bures (all close to the water), relaxing holiday, and good food, then Treasure Island is a great choice.
My only criticism is that if you happen to have bad weather, and you are a very active person, there is not a lot to do in a small island. A small gym would be great. But if the weather is fine it is fantastic.
I will definitely go back.
