we just got back to california today and could not wait to give these guys a great review.
we are a very active family, our kids surf until they drop, they spear fish, skin dive, etc, etc, etc. so needless to say i was very aprehensive to take 5 teenage kids for a boat ride to some beach thinking that it would be hard to keep them all interested and challanged, well... we were very surprised that no one complaint!!
we all all enjoyed the day cheking out the reefs, the increduible beach and even more incredible lunch ( feast).
after a week in fiji we needed a break from surfing and this day trip was relaxing and our three boys ate until they could no more,( BBQ stake, chicken, sausages, salad, all the beer you could drink and plenty of water and soft drinks.)
the snorquling was not the best we have seen but i did not find any better anywhere else off the main island reefs either ( we had already checked out namotu island reef, cloud break reef, sonasali area, etc, etc).
well worth taking the day off from other activities and chilling with these guys, they are a class act and really showed they cared.
would do it again anytime, make sure you go on a sunny day so that you can enjoy the reef at its best!
thanks to black and the crew also!

Went on this trip with a group of 6 male friends in our early 20's. We fully recommend going on this, the snorkelling sites are beautiful and the lunch was probably the best meal we had our entire trip - juicy steaks cooked to perfection, boneless chicken, hot wings, fresh fish, fresh fruit, as much beer you can drink - what more can you ask for!

The people from the island also give you kava to drink if you want, this trip is definitely a must-do if you're in the area.

My husband & i went on this tour based on a recommendation from someone at our resort. There was another 4 couples on the trip. We ddint know what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had.
The weather wasnt that great on the way to beqa island, but it cleared up by the time we got there. On the way there, we saw a sailfish flying out a few times of the water which was an amazing sight. There was also some fishing on the way there & back, but we didnt catch anything.

We went snorkelling off the boat & the reef was good, the second snorkelling trip was more hairy because we took a small boat. The reef was deep & we had to swim quite a long way to see it.
Some people saw a shark & a turtle but unfortunately i didnt see them. Getting back into the small boat was an ordeal but thanks to the local boys they pulled everyone into the boat.

On the island we were serenaded by the locals, they were lovely. I tried kava for the first time. The bbq was delicious & theres plenty for everyone. There was plenty of beer, wine & soft drinks for everyone.

We had a blast & wished that we could stay at the island longer.

I would recommend bringing some aerogard because there were lots of mosquitoes on the island.

This trip is a must for anyone who likes swimming, snorkeling, eating, drinking or just lying around in a hammock for the day.
Not for those who are not so confident on boats as there is no jetty at the island so a transfer to a smaller boat is necessary.
One engine had a problem starting on our trip but it didn't matter, we were happy to just go with the flow and didn't ever feel unsafe.
The BBQ was delicious and the drinks never ran out.
Great way to spend a day.....on Paradise
