This place is in a historic area of Shanghai and yet it is located within the city center. The first thing I noticed about this amazing area is its unique antique walls with arch stone gates under the shade of beautiful big trees lining up the street. From what I read, Xin Tian Di represents a place where the past has met the present. The old-styled buildings look amazing with narrow alleys along with them. The exterior of these buildings might look very antique but the inside is definitely not. I walked into a few boutiques and cafes and found that they look quite contemporary. Anyhow, the whole place is amazing and I couldn't help but taking a lot of photos of this beautiful corner of Shanghai.
