The sunday brunch was a disaster. "Amanda" was the only one there who was able to speak even a little English. From the welcoming, to the attentiveness and standard of the service, the hygiene (sushi without cooling, dust everywhere, staff with dirty clothes,...), the sadness of the buffet, to the quality of the food - it was a disgrace for a hotel in this category. For this price you can have the Hyatt on the Bund brunch, which is amazing and really, really special. I feel ripped off and going to this brunch was a waste of life time, especially because no one amongst the staff actually cared about how the buffet looked, the food tasted or the service went. I had read good things about this brunch before, but I can assure you that this sad image of an international hotel sunday brunch is not only not worth anyone's attention or money, but should even be avoided because it simply ruins your day. We're out for sunday champagne brunches about once a month and we want to try different venues from time to time, so we're able to put this brunch into perspective to other brunches.
