14 hour connection time between flights is too long. The Ramada Pudong is a 7 to 8 minute free shuttle bus ride away from either terminal at the airport. The hotel is big, newer, very nicely appointed and has great rooms. My room was quiet, comfortable, extremely clean, had free and fast internet, excellent air-conditioning and a beautiful bathroom with a first-class shower. The front desk had friendly, efficient, english-speaking staff. I used the hotel going to and coming back from thailand to british columbia. Best hotel i had on my entire trip. (Beer in the lobby lounge is a little pricey - but cold and served by friendly and attentive bar staff.)

We stayed after arriving from U.S. and were continuing to Chengdu the next day, so needed an overnight hotel. We also used it upon departure to save an early-morning drive to the airport. The hotel has a free airport shuttle, it only takes 15 minutes to the airport, so no problem with getting to the airport on time; it was easy to find the shuttle upon arrival. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was good with Western and Chinese selections, and kept hot (a problem at many hotels).
Probably not a good choice for a longer stay, as it is an hour from the city center, with traffic, but it's great for a transfer hotel.
One unusual thing - we booked it including breakfast, but when we went to breakfast, the staff said it was for only one person and we would have to pay for the second meal. We complained to the manager and he let us both have breakfast, but it should not have been necessary.

I spent the last night in China there because of the morning flight the next day. King size room was very comfortable. Gym, Bar, Food and reception was it worth. Of course nearby the airport some noise from planes are normal.

Very nice hotel,free wifi,since it is an airport hotel it's quite far from Shanghai city main attractions.Good for a short transit and rest before catching the next flight with free shuttle service from Pudong airport vise versa.

This hotel is my "Home-Away-From-Home" when I travel to Shanghai. It is a very nice place to arrive to and equally so for the last night before the return trip back home the next morning.

The only thing that a little bit bothers me, not a big deal, is the too eager luggage helpers when I arrive in the hotel. I like to pull my wheeled luggage (just one bag) by myself and sometimes when I say I do not need help when I turn my back there is someone on the bag handle (Do that in Texas and that bag helper could end up in a hospital). But this is a small problem and I can deal with it.

There may be just too many bag helpers in the lobby...?

I made 3 weeks early reservation with deposit and confirmation of reservation number to check-in in May, 21, 2014. When I got there, the reception desk told me a hundred of reasons why the hotel cancelled my reservation but no one was acceptable reason. That night no me only had no room to stay but a dozens of foreigns had the same situation as mine. Talking to another people there, the true reason of cancellation is: hotel cancelled all cheaper room rate he had sold early and sold all of them to a big group (higher price then before). For this reason and anothers (no insulated rooms, no trained staff,...) I no more want to stay there again.

We stayed for one night because of early flight the next morning. We booked a deluxe room and asked for a baby cot but received neither response nor cot.

The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to and from the airport which takes approx. 5 min. They pick you up outside gate 9 (across the street there is a poster) and gate 27 from Terminal 1 and 2 respectively.

The room was clean and spacious and provided a water boiler and a small fridge, however an empty mini bar which was a bit surprising. Upon check out the staff asked if we had had anything from the mini bar.

One very annoying thing was the positioning of the toilet paper holder. We didn't try the hotel food but instead took the shuttle bus to the airport and dined there.

Remember to save the receipt that you get for the deposit (500 RMB) so that you can reclaim it upon check out.

All in all, a clean and neutral hotel, not an overwhelming experience but that's not why you choose it.
