We had a lovely stay in this hotel - it is stylish and modern, as you would expect from Jumeirah, with well trained, if a little woooden, staff.
I liked the room, I booked a standard room but i think we got an upgrade, so it was big and well equipped. It was also modern, clean and stylish, with a comfortable bed.
The hotel decor and lobby was spectacular, and we had a great meal in the grill restaurant, which was offering BOGOF plus a free starter, so great value. Wine was expensive though (starts at maybe $50 for cheapest bottle).
What i didnt like so much (for a couple on honeymoon) was the location. The Bund is 45 mins on the metro, which is efficient but not much fun. You have to change once. We resorted to taking taxis, which cost less than $10 in and out of the sights each day. This took around 30-40 minutes.
Close to the hotel are small shops and a nice shopping centre with bars and restaurants, which do a decent job. I would definatley reccommend "The Brew" in the Kerry hotel over the road. Amazing food, atmossphere and home brewed ales! A must if you stay at Jumeirah.More
