One of the best hotels in Shanghai, I would recommend it to anyone. The rooms are very spacious and well decorated. The gym is great and the spa is amazing. The staff at the Jumeirah Himalayas are very friendly and attentive, it's just great.

It was really amazing hotel to stay-!
Gym is so wide and clean, nice atmosphere to work out. Swimming pool is really huge~!
And spa is the best!!!! They have ICE room, Steam sauna, and nice jaccuzi. next to it there's towel and sunbed. Staff are so kind~! Thank you~!
But I don't like bath room in the room. It's all cover with glass. I went there with my friend, so when I take shawer there's no personal area.. all visible..;; It is different color from the mid- even... there's no curten or something to close. But except that, It was really good stay.

Room Tip: you have to ensure your door is closed. Because door is not close properly if you just let it close...

After staying at quite a few other well known 5* hotels in Shanghai, The Jumeirah Himalayas has become my first choice.
From the moment you enter the hotel the staff are attentive to anything you may need and make you feel very welcome without overdoing it.
The rooms are large, compared to others in Shanghai, beautifully appointed in a modern yet contemporary Chinese style with every modern amenity you could wish for.
The suites are even better but the beds in both types of room are simply the best.
The food is excellent whether you take room service or venture outside your room and the bar downstairs can be great fun and/or a place to have a bite to eat, work and meet people.
Other than that, if you are a swimmer then the pool is great and the gym rather large but the best thing about this hotel is the staff; they make you feel at home and they are very good at it

I had an amazing three-nights stay here. The decor in the hotel is truly unique where the ancient Chinese style decor meets the modern. The bed is extremely comfortable compliments by pacific coast luxurious feather pillow. Hotel staffs are highly professional and anticipate your needs. I personally love the bathroom, it is so spacious! The gym is huge with lots of equipments, yoga room, and a huge indoor bamboo garden. Location of the hotel is good, lots of massage centers opposite the hotel, upscale malls behind and opposite the hotel, and the subway station just next to the hotel.

Dear NatalieLim,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Tripadvisor following your recent stay in Jumeirah Himalayas Shanghai.

I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay so much, and very much appreciate such a positive review of the facilities and service. It is very gratifying to know that we met and perhaps even exceeded expectations on a variety of issues. I am particularly glad that you enjoyed the art and design elements – we are very proud of the Chinese heritage of the design, and the blend with modern features to deliver a unique product. Perhaps on your next stay you may also enjoy the Lobby iPod art tour program. With the support of Apple, the hotel lends iPod nanos, pre-loaded with information in English and Mandarin featuring the artworks on display and explaining the Feng Shui elements of the hotel.

Thank you once again, NatalieLim, for your comments. We certainly look forward to welcoming you back to Jumeirah Himalayas in the near future.

This was my second stay at the Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel, travelling on business. It has quickly become one of my favourite hotels. Very modern decor, well appointed rooms. And the beds! best nights sleep in a while. All staff members that I dealt with were professional, friendly and very helpful. They have quite a nice charm about them. The lobby area, although at times can appear to be dark, is unique in style and layout and the LED panels on the ceiling with brilliant colours and moving pictures change the atmosphere. Even though the hotel is located out a bit from the main area of Pudong, getting there by taxi is quick and cheap, as is Puxi (excusing peak hour). An MRT station is also next door with easy access. I highly recommend this hotel .
