This place is worthy half a day if you have much time in Shanghai. But if you just have 1 or 2 days, it can be skipped coz it is really far from downtown of Shanghai (about one hour on the way).
I got to see the display of modern arts, mostly paintings, and it was great to learn we have such great Chinese artists who tided their work and ideas with the country's spirit and historical standings.
No entrance fee but you should make reservation online and pick the tickets at 4 offices in downtown before you get to the site. There are some, what we Chinese call, Yellow Cows, in English scalpers selling tickets at the entrance. Don't be fooled by them when they say your online reservation is not accessible to the site.

even this expo passed 4 years ago, than they have about 3 sides who still can visit (eq: China, Benz and Middle East). that's not to late to stopping by, and still a lot of tour to going this place. For me the Mercedes-Benz was a nice one, with a futuristic building like UFO plate.

You can going to the back of the buildings and found Huangpu river with big promanade, it's fun to sitting there and see the boat and cruise at the river or buildings and bridge front of you.

Must Visit!!

This was my reason for visiting china in 2010 was to see the world expo. I was frustrated with the unbelievable lines to see the major pavilions and by chance found out that if you were a foreigner you received preferential status to visit the china pavilion. After visiting the pavilion during my last days in china I realized there was so much still to see because one of the major themes of the pavilion was showcasing all the provinces and what they had to offer. Nowadays all that seems left is the shell of the major buildings, but in truth those buildings were the star of the show

The splendor of the 2010 expo will not last much longer, but for now there is still plenty you can go see here. Worth a visit for the beautiful walk by Huangpu river and to see some of the buildings still up.
