...but underneath it all, it's pretty bad. I stayed at this hotel for over 2 weeks while taking a short course at Fudan University. The location of the hotel is pretty good, there are a lot of restaurants around and its only a 15 minute walk from a subway station and Wanda Plaza that has everything you'd need (including a full walmart). The hotel it's self was pretty bad... The staff were okay at first but got more and more rude as time went on, there is also not a single person who can speak english. We went several days without internet but we were charged for it anyway (and couldn't communicate that we shouldn't be charged for it).
It is newly renovated so it looks okay from the outside, but if you look close you'll see all the mold and the shoddy workmanship.
We saw *many* roaches in a few different rooms and it is VERY noisy in the morning. I know roaches come with being in China but this was a lot... it was pretty gross. The building is shared with various other companies so there are classes early in the morning on weekdays and just a lot of noise in general.
The cleaning staff did not do a good job at all. The didn't clean the shower a single time while we were there and often forgot to restock our towels and toilet paper. The phones in the room didn't work so I had to make all calls from their creepy little room on the second floor. Our air conditioner was also broken, it only had one setting so it was either way too hot (without it on) or absolutely freezing cold (with it on).
I do not recommend this hotel.
