I stumbled on Hengshan looking for a bite to eat close to my hotel (Regal International East Asia), and this restaurant is quite near it. The atmosphere is nothing special--there is nothing fancy at this place, but it is reasonably clean. The menu is extensive with most dishes cooked Cantonese style. I ordered the soup of the day (broth with some pork and mushrooms in it) that was served piping hot, spicy pork in a garlic sauce (very well made), white rice and a bottle of beer. This was more than enough food for one and cost 82 RMB (about $12 US).
The service was good (though typically Chinese--the burden is on you to call someone over when you want something). None of my servers spoke English, but the menu had good descriptions of the dishes, so don't be worried if you don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese.
