Good quality hotel with good service.Rooms large and well equipped Food good recommended
There looked to be a good selection of restaurants around.
Beds were comfortable, really a western style hotel - certainly one of the best hotels during my trip to Chain

the hotel is situated in a busy area with easy access to the metro and a fine selection of restaurants in the surrounding area.
the hotel has got rid of the spa that used to stop the lift at night for business and the girls entering the hotel.
ask for a room on the front if possible, its quieter. It is not in my opinion worth booking executive rooms the changes are:
top floor check in out (only open 8-11, no good for late or early check outs)
snacks and 1 free drink in the lounge, only between 5 and 7, I don't get back in time
free tea and coffee, when the lounge is open.
high level room, the views or noise levels are not really improved by this.

book a standard room and enjoy Shanghai instead with the money saved (even if the company is paying)

The main asset of this hotel was the staff. In all areas from cleaning, restaurant , reception, currency porters, the staff were excellent. We stayed in many hotels during our 2 week visit to China and in general all hotel people were very good but in this hotel they were outstanding.

As for the hotel, all amenities were provided, room was spacious and clean; food both western and chinese was delightful.A real pleasure to stay at this hotel.

Had two separate stays in this hotel. First room was on the 18th floor, noise wasn't too bad and the bed was fairly good. This was easily the cleanest room I had while in China. Second room was on the 6th floor and had a lower quality bed, the cleaning/noise were still acceptable. The breakfast was decent, best to stick to the non-anglo food. Hotel restaurant is overpriced for the neighborhood. The location of this hotel can't be beat, there is an entrance to the Xujiahui metro station which is far and away the best way to get around the city (taxis will take you on the absolute longest route possible almost without fail). Plenty of shopping nearby, everything from upscale department stores to live chickens and ducks being butchered on a tarp on the sidewalk.

Room Tip: Pay for the executive room!

Staying at this hotel this week. Asked for a high floor room and a large bed, and got one on the 21st floor. Rooms are nicely furnished, very clean, very nicely decorated and everything looks new. The pillows are nice - not too hard, not too soft - and the bed too. This is one of the rare times where I got a great nice sleep.

There is free internet by LAN connection, no wifi on the 21st floor (bummer, but no big deal). The only wifi is at the lobby and dining areas. The offer complimentary water, and I like the other soft touches that they provided - a bowl of fruits already in the room when you first open the door, complimentary water/tea/coffee, stationery (erasers, sharpeners, paper clips, etc).

Breakfast was also good with Western and Eastern food - juices, cereal, cereal, toast, bacon, sausages, eggs, noodles, etc. Be early to avoid the morning rush. There are plenty of food and shopping around the hotel if you do not want to eat in the hotel.

Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Breakfast is good

Room Tip: Ask for the higher floors

We spent two nights here as part of a group tour. Shanghai was our last port of call so we had hoped for a great ending to the trip.
The room was of a reasonable standard but the full length sofa under the window somewhat obscured what could have been a fabulous view. Airconditioning was not very effective and because the weather was fantastic the room became a bit overheated.
Breakfast was good with a wide choice of food.
Our biggest complaint was the cost of drinks in the bar which were absolutely amazing. For one can of Sprite and one can of tonic Water we were charged over £10 (more than 100 yuan)!! They had got the order wrong and initially brought a Gin and Tonic so we queried the bill when we got it, but no it was correct!!! Bar staff were less than friendly and struggled with my Scottish accent. We would have been cheaper buying the drinks from the in room Mini Bar which isn't usually the case.

I stayed there for business several times. No one can beat its location, it's within walking distance to shopping malls, restaurants, and several metro stations.

The rooms are clean and in good condition. My most recent trip was in April and there was no A/C working at night (the hotel turned it off at mid-night), so no matter what temterature you set in your room, it does not work. I had to keep the windows open. However, the hotel is located on a noisy street, I could not sleep well. THis is so far my only complain for the hotel.

I would recommend this hotel for everyone, my recommendation is to avoid staying there in April while it's quite warm and humid and A/C season has not yet started.
