Location is key. Comfort is good. Century square. 5 minutes from east nanjing metro station, east nanjing pedestrian road on your doorstep. Air con in every room. Breakfast value for money. Caters more for chinese than western but we were happy with congee and condiments seeing we are of chinese ethnicity. City sightseeing bus outside front steps every 20 minutes 30 rmb for unlimited hop on and off over 24 hours. 11Th floor overlooking east nanjing pedestrian road at night is great and quiet.Overall a great stay. Watch out for taxi drivers at longyang rd station. Paid 188 rmb to get to hotel. Should have been half the price. If your going from airport, take the maglev train at 50rmb followed by Metro line 2 at 3 Rmb from longyang to East nanjing. Just roll your luggage along the pedestrian street. Lots of people do it

Not much range for beverages. Just green tea and black tea. No coffee, sugar or milk. Didn't use the mini bar. Restaurant was ok. Recommend Long Ji restaurant 3rd floor first food store. Drains we're blocked for both bath tub and wash basin. Pulled out large hunks of hair and slime. Recommend drain cleaner to dissolve as water didn't drain away fast enough.

Room Tip: Ask for room facing Nangjing Pedestrian Street, and higher up for a good view at night. We were on the 11th floor.

We stayed at the Seventh Heaven hotel for two nights. It is located in the middle of East Nanjing road but if you come by taxi you have to be very specific about the precise location because this road is pedestrian road. So the taxi driver may refuse to take you there. A good idea is to ask them to take you at Hubei Rd intersection with East Nanjing.
The room are all small and no space to leave your luggage but the window view was great . Plenty of mineral water also available for free. What made us very bad impression about the hotel was the staff. Although they speak very good english they seemed to be a little prejudiced about non- chinese travellers. They were ironic towards us. Specifically when we asked to put aside our luggages for few hours after check out they told us to leave them in the hallway! We insisted to put them on a secure place but the lady refused telling us that she will take care of them! In the meantime we saw a chinese couple putting their luggage in a locked room!
It"s a pity to have such behaviour because it's an excellent hotel. Also note that they asked us to pre authorise our card with a deposit of two-night plus 30 per cent of that.

Stayed: July 2014

The location of this hotel is great. Right on the heart of everything! You look out the window and feel like you are staying in Times square. It is also in between two major metro stops.

The "old charm" of the building is fun, feels like a European boutique hotel. We stayed in a family suite and my daughter like having get own room.

That is where the good stuff ends though.

The room is dirty. Deep dirt, grime, dust, ware and tear etc. There are stains on the walls, water marks on the ceiling. The molding around some of the window panes was crumbling. The grout in the bathroom was disgusting, as was the shower head. I killed several small bugs during our stay. There was also mold on the shower curtain....which they did replace right away when asked.

The breakfast buffet is really small and had little variety. About 6 hot dishes, bread to make toast and a pot of rice. No juice or fruit.

There is tv and internet, but no English speaking channels.

Very little closet or drawer space, so all three of us lived out of our suit cases.

Although we loved the location, we would not stay here again

The USP of the Hotel is its location! Right in the middle of the Pedestrian street (East Nanjing Road) and within walking distance from the Bund, it is an ideal haven for any tourist who likes the hustle-bustle of the city. Friendly English knowing staff at the reception was an added advantage.
The rooms though small are cozy and for us who were out for most of the day, it provided a good retreat for the night.
The breakfast could definitely have better!! Also there should be more tables available for the guests for breakfast and sufficient cutlery should be provided.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the higher floor, and not close to the elevator
