Stayed here again and was equally impressed second time around. Service is great. The pool is lovely. The rooms are quiet because of the layout and the views from the upper floors are impressive. Has a great breakfast and a good location. Whilst the rooms are not super special, the beds are comfortable and they do have all the facilities you might need. The gym is functional but small. Particularly if you can get a good deal its a great place to stay.

Room Tip: The higher rooms have great views

My first impression was ‘WOW’. It’s a really gorgeous hotel with exquisite settings and deco at every corner. When I entered the room, double ‘WOW’! Everything is so new and classy! The bed and couch is so comfortable. Every day the housekeeper would leave a little chocolate box on the bed for me, which I thought was a nice touch.

I was really tempted to stay put in my comfortable room, but the best part of the hotel is the location. It is so centrally located, surrounded by big shopping malls and attractions. You could easily walk to the Bund, while shopping and eating along the brightly-litted lively streets. There is also a subway station just across the road (station name: People’s Square, which is an interchange for lines 1, 2 and 8), therefore it’s so convenient to go around Shanghai without the need to hail cabs. However if you need a cab, there are aplenty around the hotel. There are even more shops in the subway station.

If you can choose which airport to fly to, I’d recommend Hong Qiao Airport instead of Pudong Airport, because Hong Qiao is nearer and thus much less expensive for cab fare. I paid like RMB 180 cab fare to/fro Pudong Airport and the Radisson. I heard that from Hong Qiao Airport it just cost about RMB70.

I must admit I really had a great time at the Radisson, or even Shanghai. Note to ladies – bring an empty luggage, because there’s just so much to shop around here :)

I stayed here for 7 nights. As i am a Carlson Gold Member i got an upgrade to my room upon arrival, and therefore i stayed at 31 floor. The hotel is right across the metro station from People's Square. Direct link by underground from Pudon Airport. Great breakfest (european and chinese option), great service. Also on the 8th floor you can find a big pool, jacuzzi, sauna and fitness pool. From the hotel you can go by underground everywhere, or by taxi (about 25cny ~ 3eur to each important visit location). If would definetly return to this hotel

Just stayed yesterday ,

Situation :
-bought several tailor made clothes at the fabric market however as i was out for the day told concierge ( Thomas Huang supervisor ) to assist me to converse with the female boss at the fabric stall to assist me to ensure delivery will be made to the hotel .

But as expected there was no such order and Thomas went the additional mile to chastise the lady and insist for delivery .

To be candid , great service !! . Ask thomas if you need to request for special day trip.

Great location , wonderful place .

Very good hotel. Excellent breakfast. Very good service and superb location. The only downside is that the rooms are a little small. They have a sort of study at the entrance which I believe could have been avoided and added to the room... The restaurant at the top is very expensive and the band at the rooftop bar is mediocre :((.. But the view from both places is unbeliavable

Room Tip: very good massage place right behind the hotel and a very good restaurant inside the park across the...

Needed a centrally located hotel for just one night. The Radisson was excellent, right off People's Square. We had just traveled 8 days through China, and while we were not "roughing it", the bed at the Radisson was the most comfortable we slept in the entire trip. Staff friendly and helpful with excellent English.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. On check-in i was upgraded, the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was well appointed, clean and condusive to sleep.
The hotel was close to the railway station (10mins walk) and the taxi service excellent.
I believe this to be one of the better hotels I have stayed in for a long while and is actually very good value for money.
