This chef is obviously very talented and offers creative selections featuring locally grown produce and fresh ingredients. The menu changes often to fit what is available fresh.
We live just outside Tuscaloosa but we travel a lot and eat at fine dining restaurants all over the world. Epiphany is not just the best in Tuscaloosa but it compares very favorably with some of the best bigger-name fine dining restaurants we've eaten at. It is truly a hidden gem.
Another reviewer wrote about the Kobe beef sliders -- he's right, they are awesome. If there are scallops on the menu they are always huge fresh scallops and they are always excellent. They also offer creative soups and he uses the same creativity in his desserts. Many really excellent chefs treat desserts as after thoughts but that's not the case at Epiphany.
They also have an excellent wine list featuring some great boutique wines you don't find everywhere. Bring your appetite because the portions are very generous. Don't be afraid to ask for help with the wine list as most of the servers are very knowledgeable.
