“The best fine dining restaurant in Tuscaloosa...by far”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2010

This chef is obviously very talented and offers creative selections featuring locally grown produce and fresh ingredients. The menu changes often to fit what is available fresh.
We live just outside Tuscaloosa but we travel a lot and eat at fine dining restaurants all over the world. Epiphany is not just the best in Tuscaloosa but it compares very favorably with some of the best bigger-name fine dining restaurants we've eaten at. It is truly a hidden gem.

Another reviewer wrote about the Kobe beef sliders -- he's right, they are awesome. If there are scallops on the menu they are always huge fresh scallops and they are always excellent. They also offer creative soups and he uses the same creativity in his desserts. Many really excellent chefs treat desserts as after thoughts but that's not the case at Epiphany.

They also have an excellent wine list featuring some great boutique wines you don't find everywhere. Bring your appetite because the portions are very generous. Don't be afraid to ask for help with the wine list as most of the servers are very knowledgeable.

“Creative Food, Well-Prepared”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2009

Found this place by accident, in a middle of campus in Tuscaloosa, of all places. The place was empty, but the food was excellent. Interesting dishes, not the run of the mill top end food. The chef even came over to say hello. He looked like someone who belongs on Iron Chef. If you're a local, bring your visiting boss. If you're a student, bring you parents for a great meal. Service was a beat off, but not by much and not bothersome.

The Kobe Beef Burger was phenomenal, and the accompanying fries were honestly some of the best I've ever had! Served with a nice glass of wine, this was possibly the most delicious meal I've eaten in Tuscaloosa!
