We have stayed at this location several times, and this trip just did not live up. Fitness Room TV continues to be an issue, and had some trouble getting the front desk to answer the phone. Breakfast experience over several days was a literal see-saw, with the attendant of the day making all the difference (fantastic vs. marginal).

This place needs a major redo. Its convenient to the interstate highway(that's why we are here). The room is big and furnished OK. There is a musty or maybe a moldy smell in the room. The TV is dubious, bad picture and missing several channels listed on the in room guide. We have stayed in many nicer Hampton Inns. Its hard for me to understand how this place ranks 3 out of 31 hotels in Tuscaloosa.

The hotel was very nice. The breakfast was great and the fitness room had everything I needed. The rooms seemed bigger than others I have stayed in and the beds were really comfortable. The hotel is located right off of I-20 and there are a few restaurants right across the street. I didn't get in the pool but it looked fine. Overall this is a great hotel that I would stay at any time I am in the Tuscaloosa area.

As diamond hilton honors members, we frequently stay in Hilton properties at all levels and have come to expect quality service, amenities, and accommodations. This Hampton inn was definitely below the norm. It's an older property, very small room,, low ceilings, dark furnishings, one small window in room, small pool, one elevator. King room was not available, so we were given a queen/2beds. Not enough room for a sofa in the room, just one lone chair. Undersized , old toilet, that didn't flush properly. Slow drain in bathroom sink. Breakfast was disappointing, no bread for toast. Rates were posted on back of door, $400 @ night! I felt overcharged at the $140. I won't even mention the Univ of AL floats in the pool.... Will not stay here again. No decent restaurants nearby. The Ruby Tuesday and Pizza Hut appeared empty of customers, maybe closed?

This Hampton has extremely helpful staff, a clean lobby, and the rooms were not only clean but restfully quiet. The hotel is conveniently located between Tuscaloosa and the Mercedes plant. We were able to relax and sleep well on the comfortable bed. We enjoyed the clean shower and soft towels.
