My wife and I stopped in for dinner and were the only people their at 5pm. Our waiter did not speak fluent English, and our Spanish was on the same level. We made it work with a smile. I got the steak with the fresh cheese on top and it was fantastic. Prices are on par for the area. The small back wall had some very nice local crafts for sale. The steaks were cooked perfectly! A clean, open and inviting restaurant. We stopped by later in the evening a few days later, but they were closed.

stopped here on our way back from Poas. This restaurant is very clean and a very warm atmosphere. The waiter spoke pretty good english and explained the items that were on the menu, which was all spanish. The food was very good. We had the chicken mixed with rice, which was a little spicy, a chicken cascado and a cheeseburger. It was a nice, relaxing lunch after visiting the volcano. There is a super market across the street if you need to stock up on anything.

This new-looking restaurant is on the way down the mountain from Poas Volcano. Lots of glass and light. The staff were really freindly. We ate there in early April, after the tourist boom season had ended. Lots of local folks stopped in to eat while were there. The casado (under $7)was the best I had while in Costa Rica for 3 weeks. There are so many small restaurants along the way to Poas that it's hard to know where to stop. This was a winner.

This restaurant appears new, with an open concept and at the base of La Paz Waterfall Garden. We had a typical Tico lunch of rice, beans, plantains with Pork. The food was hot, and delicious. The portions are rather good size and the price was around $10.00. A little pricey for Tico food but delicious non the less. The restaurant also offers a few souvenirs which were reasonably priced. The wait staff does not speak English well but tried very hard to make sure we understood what EACH item was on the menu. Very accommodating and friendly!
