This is a great hotel at a very good location. All rooms have a great view of the volcano. Centrally located to all activities and a very short taxi ride ($6) into town. Hotel staff always available to assist in all matters including booking of various excursions available in the area. The room was immaculate and wi-fi is free. The hot spring pools were great after a full day of adventure. The restaurant offered a fine selection at moderate prices. The breakfast buffet included with the price of the room was fine. I would definitely stay a this hotel again and would recommend to others.

Room tip: Visited in late May. Book your excursions in the morning hours as it tends to rain in the afternoon.

All in all a very solid experience. To me one of the highlights is the hotel location's - great to go visit Arenal Volcano and Lake surroundings, yet not more than 5-10 min drive from "civilization" so that each time you need to re-stock on supplies/go out for dinner it's not an excursion in itself.

Amenities are very good, staff is great, rooms are excellent, view is very very nice.

This hotel is excellent. Was built 5 years ago, and is like new. All rooms have a nice Volcano View from balcony. Nice amenities, few pools with hot or warm water, 4 hot tubs to relax after a day of hiking, spa ( a little too expansive). Rooms and bathroom are in excellent conditions. Breakfast is very good. Nice restaurant and stuff is very nice and friendly. We had a rental car, so we did all our activities by ourselfs, but they sell all kinds of tours at the reception, with transportation included. The only thing missing in my opinion is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. The reason I am saying this is because it's raining a lot, and if your sneakers are wet, you can not dry them being so humid. They have laundry service, but not for shoes, so a dryer will be helpfull. If we come back to La Fortuna, we will book the same hotel. Horray to all the stuff for keeping this hotel so nice and clean.

The room (204) was very spacious and had a view right onto the volcano! There was a sufficiently sized porch with chairs; perfect for the view. The shower is a full body massage shower. The property was incredibly nice with 4 hot pools, very warm in fact with the lowest temperature at 28. The bar and room service menu were very moderately priced for such an upscale hotel. The breakfast, which was included, was phenomenal, and the staff could not have been nicer. Our AC unit acted up a little bit and we couldn't get it below 24. They kept the property very green, which made the view from our room even better. The pool bar plays popular dance/electronic music and remixes which suits some people and less so others. There was free wifi.

Room tip: The wing which contains 204 is the one that extends away from the road. The hotel is pretty close to the road, but I didn't find that noise was a problem.

Hotel was as advertised. Top class room and a mind blowing view of Arenal. The Eco zip-line is a must. There is a wildlife refuge appr. 40 min. away which was rated 1 on trip advisor...GREAT, and pay the extra $$ to interact w/ the animals. While at Royal Corin, arrange your taxi service w/ Alvin...he has the taxi van pretty much on call at Royal Corin. The front desk guys are on commission w/ other drivers and they will not tell you about other guests going to the same place so you can split the fare. They suck. Lastly, save your money and forget Don Rufino's Restaurant. Our family of 4 bill was over $220.00 without wine. Instead, go to Perla's. owner/chef... The BEST. Great meal at a good price ($120.00). Don't believe me...ask a local I did.

Room tip: Penthouse on top floor (5) or any room on floor 4...they all face the volcano

Dear Jon P:

Thanks for sharing your opinion with other customers, we apologize for the confusion with transportation, the other client requested the transport half hour before and we did not know that he was going to the same place where you heading. We look forward to your visit in the future.
