“The Hotel Royal Corin was above our expectations! Extremely Beautiful!”
Reviewed 24 March 2010

We stayed in a Master Suite for 4 nights and had an awesome time. The whole place is extremely clean and beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond. I encourage everyone to check out Hotel Royal Corin. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing hotel. The hot springs are not scalding hot but that is the only thing remotely wrong with the hotel. The staff is warm and friendly and the rooms are ultra moderns with the best beds!

We spent a night at the Royal Corin on our way from Guanacaste to San Jose in hope that we could see the Arenal volcano.. We didn't get lucky, it was very foggy all the time we were there.
I was fascinated by the hot springs pools of the hotel, they are gorgeous. The whole pool area is a mastermind design. There is also a pool bar with food and great service.
We were in one of their master suite on the 4th floor. It was a bit noisy for nap time since it was right under a bar located on the fifth floor,
Our room was very clean and modern. There was a hot tub with a (non-working) built-in tv that we unfortunately didn't use.
Breakfast brunch was decent, but nothing special.

Overall I would recommend this hotel since it is top-notch, obviously there are cheaper hotels in the area but I doubt there is any other better than this one.

Is it worth 250$ a night,? I don't think so. Remember, you are in Costa Rica and all prices are inflated.

This hotel was amazing, amazing breakfast, amazing beds, amazing views, amazing pool and awesome service. I highly suggest oanyone going out there torent your own car, we heard of cab fares being pricey, and you can leave whenever you want to go and adventure out , the roads were all paved on the hotel, gas was cheap! and we stopepd in little towns to shop and see the culture...back to the hotel, they had all modern appliances and beds and just everythign, now i will say dinner and breakfast were awesome and lunc hwas good but I would go out to town for dinner, lava restaraunt, and las brasitas was really good...pina coladas at royal corin were top notch...

The best aprt was the hotel was in the middle of no where and was highly modernized, great security, and awesome views of the volcano...

I loved and would come back but next tiem were going to try and do beach side...

Stayed here 3 nights. Felt it was not worth the money. If you are not driving your own car and have to eat at the hotel be prepared to spend some serious money. Drinks at the bar were delicious and the view of the volcano is nice, kind of a "cold" atmosphere. The hot springs swimming pools are small and not deep enough to swim in. There were noisy kids that ran up and down the hallway every morning at 7 AM. When we complained they said there was nothing they could do. They do offer a lot of excursions, and we never got a chance to use the spa (massage services). Also noticed there were a ton of dead bugs everywhere. I know Costa Rica is full of bugs, but all they had to do was sweep them up, they were all over the floors. It was not a horrible stay, the master suite we stayed in was large, and the jaccuzi was nice. Linens and bed were very comfortable. All in all it was not a horrible stay, but I would not go there again, and felt it was way over priced.

The rooms were always clean, the service always gracious, the food was delicious, the spa was gorgeous, and the hot springs were clean and relaxing. I would recommend for anyone coming to this area to stay in this hotel. They have a lively bar on the 5th floor too which plays good music. It's a fairly new hotel and pricy but what isn't in this area. If you are going to pay a lot to sleep or eat or relax, you might as well do it here in a 5-Star setting. Keep in mind that while this is NOT the USA or a European country EVERYTHING in this area will be expensive to begin with, from accommdations to food, to spa services and activities. By expensive I mean San Francisco, CA dollar prices.

We stayed at the Royal Corin for only (2) nights the beginning of March. I knew this hotel had great TA reviews, but this hotel was truly amazing! We were dropped off from our transfer before check-in time, but while we sat in the lobby the staff could not do enough for us. They made calls to our travel agent in Costa Rica and helped us fax documents back and forth to book our excursion the following day. They arranged a taxi to take us into town for lunch, and when we returned our room was ready. We had booked a Junior Suite and walking into our room we were blown away by our room. We had (2) balconies which faced out to the Volcano and the biggest bed I have ever seen. In the room was also a huge Jacuzzi, which included a sound system and TV as part of the unit. I have never seen anything like it before. The bathroom was beautifully designed with a wonderful shower. Everything was new and very clean. The room also had a mini fridge and free internet. When we returned home at night there would be a beautiful dessert sitting on our table for us. What a nice treat!

Make sure you go to the Lava Bar on the top floor. At night while we were there it was not clear enough to see the Volcano , but it was such a cool hang-out and a great 2 for 1 drink special at happy hour with free yummy appetizers. Our first night at the bar there were a bunch of people, but not packed and we all wondered why this place was not packaged since it was so amazing in every way! The snacks were great and the bartender was a lot of fun and very warm!

The series of their thermal pools were beautifully designed and very relaxing. There is a great swim- up bar in the large pool. Even though it was raining while we were there we still went into the thermal pools and it was rather nice even with the rain hitting you. You look around and you think you’re in paradise while in the pool.
I really liked the location of this hotel to La Fortuna. It was only a few minutes away. It costs around $6.00 by taxi. We ate lunch in town twice and they were both good meals. We ate at the hotel for breakfast which was included and had an appetizer while at the bar, and everything was good.

The entire two days we were there we could not see the Volcano, and I even began to wonder if it was even there. The third morning which was our check-out day the sun woke us up and while in bed I could see the Volcano. I’m happy we were able to have the opportunity to see the Volcano even if it was for such a short time.

I would like to return and spend a few more days at this hotel and enjoy the spa.
